Ep 20-23 so far shows them able to work together, but ZHY's deep-seated hatred (justifiable) toward her father is driving her to a dangerous place as she seeks help from powerful people. I hope FYX opens up to her fully at some point or else he can't save her either (she thinks the marriage is merely a contractual, business relationship - and I get the feeling it's more than that for him).

I would have liked a little bit more development on their relationship front and more Lingzhi, but hopefully that will come in the next eps.

We'll see if the synopsis will hold true, if ZHY can truly put all her hatred, revenge and bitterness behind and find true happiness with FYX.

It may be more the availability of good scripts that interest him rather than a particular genre he likes. But who knows lol, you'd have to ask him ;)

Yeah, I'm sure it's going to be quite different.

I think he could have bit more emoting lol, but at least his stoic, poker face is consistent with his character.

Yeah, if you like intense plots and maybe turn off your brain just a bit, it can be a fun watch

Just finished reading the novel. Ready for the start of filming!

This is more a revenge/strategy/melodrama, not a sweet romance. The romantic tension is there, and I can tell they have feelings for each other, but there is a lot of family baggage/drama and obstacles to them really being ready to be in love. By end of ep 19, they have come together in a contractual marriage, so we'll see how things develop from there.

Ep 19: this stuff is crazier than a telenovela.

I just hope the wars don’t escalate to the point of affecting the production, which would be so dumb.

I’m happy with any actress who is serious about the role and working with the whole team. And who of course can pull of the role of Fengyue.

Best to stay away from weibo for one's mental health lol. Or any similar site online. Fans making war is always to me a complete waste of one's energy and a drain on humanity. It's horrible when the artists are dragged into it. I just want to watch great dramas, and I wish the best to any actress, actor, director, etc.

Yes, agree, it's rare for me to rewatch dramas. It's a testament to the acting and attention to detail from all the crew that a second watch would still be super interesting.
