I really hate the Chinese Entertainment industry. So corrupt. So dirty. If not for Dylan, I would gladly say ta-ta…
You are getting mixed up. Someone said their insider friend leaked 200M rmb was spent to smear Didi / GOTD. It’s not the same person, who was paid to manipulate Didi’s KTV footage. Unfortunately it’s a Dafeng crew that sold the video clip to him.
Some of these water army companies are actually nurtured by entertainment companies. It can be celebrities, drama production teams, and platforms need promotion, they will also seek it out. Sometimes, it’s clear which company they bought it. Didi has many competitors.

I haven’t heard of the businessman. Last yr during GOTD’s broadcast, a Hebei media company 智顺文化 published a
large number of negative articles / influencers videos targeting Didi and GOTD. The CCTV investigation never disclosed who was behind the smear campaign. Possibly many participants (top c-ent agencies) who want a piece of him.

I also never seen him so unhappy at a booting ceremony. He is probably tired also. He did 8 promo tours for his movie the day before and didnt finish work at 11 PM, then he took a 4-hour bus ride to Hengdian. He was on set for the boot ceremony at 7 AM for hair & makeup.

I am worried he will be mistreated and sabotaged. The director already eager to step on him to kiss her manager. FL’s manager is JSK who infamous in c-ent for doing underhanded tricks & buying hot searches that are unflattering to the costars. When the news broke about MZY being the FL, he got to work buying hot searches that portrayed Didi negatively. Unfortunately his fans’ efforts in boycotting the FL was unsuccessful. It seems like they bring in Didi and gave him the worst possible setup. I cried when I saw all those vicious comments flooded his video. Since Didi is carrying the film as the top-billed actor, the female lead could totally be a gorgeous woman in her early 20s. But currently she is favored by Tencent even though she visually she doesn’t fit the character at all. I am unhappy with the old man styling too. Thankfully Didi’s face and aura never lose.
PS. there seems to be deep connection between Didi’s agency and JSK. Didi’s projects co-star with Pan YueMing and Song Qian are also associated with JSK. Not sure about LL&P…

Yes the director mentioned that he originally didn't plan to release it during the Spring Festival (he wanted the summer vacation slot), but he didn't have the authority to refuse. It's said that another film withdrew at the last minute, and PAAA was pulled in as a filler. 😭 He was surprised with the low scheduling.

I took a small break after Only for Love. I’ve never been in such a toxic comment section. Unfortunately it seems Dylan got dragged into another shitshow by capital. 😭 He was doing just fine with his own career path. The garbage director is another Guo Hu. He is kissing ass to FL’s JSK company (same as YY) and doing toxic marketing. He liked a post that smeared Dylan and favored the FL. He even stood next to the FL and not ML during the booting ceremony in the photo.

Hey, I haven’t seen you around here for so long! 😄
The main problem is the schedule. I think they were also inexperienced with the Spring Festival scheduling. I read that some of the films had their release dates set and film scheduling agreement has already been finalized between the film distributors and theaters with the best screenings already divided up. So only crumbs are left for PAAA. 😭 Anyways we can only support it when it is release in our country.

I've seen rumors for this production project since forever, and never took them seriously because of the revolving…
None of those dramas you mentioned have the level of popularity, scrutiny, and toxicity surrounding it as this. Xinli productions are S+ level and no investor will risk throwing away hundred of millions at this project with “a rising star actress” with all this noise! They need an actress who is not just popular, but ALSO PROVEN can secure business investments & sponsorship + handle the hate. The only actress born under 95 I think who can is Zhou Lusi. Meng Ziyi won’t even be considered if Dylan Wang didn’t sign on.

Casting Dylan Wang was something this production has felt right for Xie XingJing since they discovered him in 2022. He has always been the top choice; he was rumored 11 times over the 3 years (more than other actors)!

I agree. He is wasting his time on other pursuits. I hope he realizes and cares that viewers feel more attached…
Omg I’ve been wanting to say this but kept it to myself, especially that “Inn” variety show which he was doing MangoTV a *favor*. It caused him not to have any vacation, had to fry CP, and during filming his neck pain came back. 😖

He may not be top notch in your eyes, but in this industry he definitely is.
His ability to rise to fame is most related to his personal charisma. After all, there are too many actors whose dramas are popular but they themselves are not. The difference between an actor and a celebrity lies in whether the audience can like the person themselves, not just transfer their feelings for the role. Liking a character is just a temporary crush. Many people who finished watching his drama would go back to research, and would be attracted to him personally. His personality is like a little sun, full of vitality, free, passionate, kind, high emotional intelligence, can cook, takes care of everyone, and a bit funny, a bit silly, a bit showy...It's a completely different feeling from some of his characters (also indirectly proving his good acting skills 💫).

Not only they gave PAAA a tiny bit of screen times, they are shown at inconvenient times after midnight or early…
This is called "screen locking," and by scheduling showtimes poorly, they prevent people from buying tickets so the theater can close early and go home. They give you fake showtimes, so you can't say there are no screenings. They pretend to increase the screening rate for PAAA, which then leads to a lower occupancy rate. Some even lock up screenings in the morning.

A strategy to make your data poor, so that casual viewers see the low box office and think it's not good, so they won't buy tickets, making the box office even worse.

Not only they gave PAAA a tiny bit of screen times, they are shown at inconvenient times after midnight or early morning. They even cancelled some sessions which already have audiences bought the tickets. They claim technical problems and the audiences were given 2 options to refund or watch another movie. Capital has already banded together to monopolize the market. Wang Hedi is competing against top-tier figures like Shen Teng, Wu Jing, and Jia Ling in his very first film; but it's already amazing that he even got to participate.

So now that it looks like Wang Heidi will get first billing in this drama, will he be playing the Empress or will…
For your info, billing has nothing to do with the story. The reason is this project cannot be started if Wang Hedi didn't sign. The chairman of Yuewen personally begged him to take this role (he already rejected it in 2022). First of all, WHD’s popularity is higher than Meng Ziyi. Secondly, they used WHD to solicit investment and advertisement for this project. So, he deserved the first billing.
