I saw a lot of comments in Chinese apps mentioning a season 2. I am hoping it is true. 😄

As I have mentioned they are “under the same umbrella”, which is Tencent Group. However, Tencent Video (which operates under Tencent group) did NOT directly invest into Guardians of the Dafeng. The other drama you mentioned they were involved in producing it with Xinli, but not for GOTD. You will not see Tencent Video being reported as the producers of GOTD. It is not their in house drama.

GOTD is NOT produced by Tencent Video.
The producer is clearly printed on bottom of every drama’s official poster. No need to guess or investigate. Lol. This kind of information is always disclosed.
