Its inspired in a real case. Confession of Murder is one of the four drama/movies about Hwaseong serial murders (The Zodiac Serial Killer of Korea).

Really? Its understandable, because the alleged killer has a baby face. The teenagers who born after the case believed in his repentant self. So, its understandable that the most of female teenagers take his side.

Perhaps that is because the drama originally had 16 episodes. Though the drama was critically praised, the number of episodes were brought down to 14, because of low viewer ratings. if they had kept the original number, the end might be different.

According to sources, Yes. NIF 2 will be keeping producer Hou Hong Liang, scriptwriter Hai Yan, director Li Xue and the existing setup of Lang Ya Hall while swapping out the cast for new blood and a new story. (Liu Tao - Princess Nihuang - hinted that she would take part)

I think their characters will be a bit old, because the main lead is the Prince Yu's son, who appears to be a newborn in the first season. So, i expect other actors to play the same characters.

Sincerely, I really like this drama. The acting was good, the plot? Not so much (The base for the storyline was somewhat good, but the execution was undesirable). The international cast was good too, but what kept me going watching was the relationships between the main chars. I really enjoyed this drama because that. And i loved the ending.
