It wasn't a satisfying type of revenge drama in my opinion..
Initially I thought that her plan was working way too smoothly for someones who just got back in society. the second was better.. then it went downhill...
what happened to having fake identity? what did you expect to happen when you make Sora meet her at the usual hang out location?? of course she would go there.. Sora's death was nothing but the result of the sloppy revenge plan. don't get me started with the streamer guy! she went to his house and didn't expect a spy cam? Jin contacting him prior to that was also stupid.. considering the past connection it made him be alerted!
what was with that long speech during the live stream in last episode? does she really think his subscribers care about what she says? it was unnecessary and she should've stopped the live, deleted his channel and just burned him already.
am I supposed to feel sad for a rapist's suicide?? I don't! he ruined her life and didn't even regret it and worse than that he was still raping and blackmailing others. and I hated how Jin acts all concerned and tells her that her revenge made him choose death!! as if he was some random innocent stranger.
It's my first time seeing fl and I'm impressed with her acting. she is absolutely great. ml though... his acting isn't as good... in some scenes his facial expressions are too much that makes it comical instead of emotional.
It's been quite a long time since I watched this drama and I have forgotten the details. I watched it while it was airing.
As far as I remember, this is the story of youth from different backgrounds joining the army. first 15 or so episodes was mainly about their training and resenting/bonding and there is a love triangle which was so draggy that irritated me to be honest. After episode 17 or so there is the actual deployment to war that shatters everyone's lives with a slap of the ugly truth of war and loss of comrades (this bit of the drama was my favorite part) and the rest is mostly about how they all deal with the aftermath and how they can move forward.
This drama could've been a lot better if the editing wasn't so choppy and some parts of story is so underdeveloped/cut that it feels rushed.
I haven't finished watching yet and so far this is how I feel:(I'm so frustrated that I need to vent out a bit)
- about Natsu and Mizuki Natsu has become the emotional tantrum dumpster for all around him! that bothers me! why was everyone mad at him for not contacting her at all in 7 years? who would keep contacting their ex? though judging from how mizuki only tried meeting Natsu's place when she was gonna die, she might have pretended that she didn't keep the child. one more thing is that mizuki decided on abortion by herself and asked him to sign. should he have made her keep the child? he asked her several times if that was what she really wanted and gave up. suddenly everyone talking him down was disheartening to see. yes, he is indecisive but he cares about other poeple's emotions too, like how he was the only one who realized Umi was pretending to be ok!
-about Yayoi this part is not solely about her but how others treated her after finding out about Umi. I get that they don't want to burden her with a sudden 7 yo parenting but do they really need to be pessimistic about it? It would be hard but it wasn't impossible. I didn't wanted her to become Umi's mom just out of her abortion guilt but they were getting along pretty well, so it wasn't impossible thing to do..
-about Tsuno I can not emphesis how much I hated him. he surely had a crush on Mizuki but he was hell of an ass to Natsu and yayoi. I can understand his resentment towards Natsu but why did he tell Yayoi that Mizuki saw her at Natsu's door to make it seem like she was the reason Umi didn't have a family!?? he did some remarks in earlier episodes as well such as refering to Yayoi as an outsider to make her feel bad.
-Mizuki's mom I hated her so much in earlier episodes... the way she was treating Natsu was understandable due to her grief but did she have to talk to Yayoi like that after the first date they had with Umi? Isn't it a good sign that Umi got along with her dad's girlfriend? her excuse was ridiculous to me. so what if she had to try harder to have a child?? now she was jealous and frustrated that someone else could have a child and be a mom?? it's not like she was the best mom herself to put such a burden on Yayoi.
what baffles me the most while watching is how everyone scares them of raising Umi. why not encourage them?? they get along well, Umi likes them. couldn't they just help them when they need it? it's not like they were living in a different city!
At first I liked the 1st couple (Qi Tian LeixLi Yu Hu) but when I saw the 2nd and 3rd couple, I liked them a lot…
why did the queen have to be such a bitch in ep23!?? messing with my favorite couples.. her fixation on marrying off her daughter with the general was too ridiculous. I don care about queen's sorry excuse of her own failed love affair, that doesn't justify hurting another couple! she fears rebel yet offends a loyal general? it's so stupid, I'm speechless. Just let me see my favorite cp be happy already.
At first I liked the 1st couple (Qi Tian LeixLi Yu Hu) but when I saw the 2nd and 3rd couple, I liked them a lot more. It could be because we saw just enough of the general and Ping Wei but too much time was wasted on main couple's family shenanigans that it made them uninteresting to me.
It was an okay one time watch. It had heart warming moments but it frustrated me a bit so I wouldn't rewatch it.
-My main issue was over simplifying the mental illness and its treatments in some cases. I won't go on details cause it will turn into an essay rather than a comment. Although I can tell they did the effort to research, it had many flaws.
-I loved the main couple but shouldn't ml get treated as well? he went to psychiatrist once and stopped seeking treatment and treating fl as a remedy for his knuckle cracking!
-2nd couple was growing on me until writers thought it's a good idea for the girl to leave him for a cruise dancing job! looks like in the end, he was her doctor not her boyfriend. he did his part to heal her but what did she do in their relationship? it's too one sided that it wouldn't last.
