I’m curious about the movie Untold Scandal …I want to watch it today, but at the same time I want to be unprepared/ not knowing what will happen in The Scandal when I binge watch it on Friday. If I watch Untold Scandal I will know the whole story in The Scandal … ok I know there might be many differences, but still. Hmmm… the dilemma~

Ji Chang wook has become one of my favorite actors over the years! Not just because he’s super talented (and fuckin handsome) but also because he is not afraid to take roles as non-flower boy/pretty ML! He doesn’t mind playing MLs with facial hair who are not traditionally ”handsome”, respect to that. Some actors wouldn’t dare to be in roles where they aren’t allowed to look all pretty / flower boy-ish

Haven’t watched the original.. but this is going to be interesting since Korea is so strong in Hierarchy/age .. like respect the older no matter what etc .. so I look forward to this one when the much younger one will be the boss! It’s I guess going to be a bit complex ? Since while he’s the much older one but STILL she’s the boss!

I’m looking sooo much forward to this!! Not just for the romance but also because of the story as it’s partly a true story since the Japanese invasion happened irl .. and the Japanese were so horrific back then, they did many cruel, evil unforgivable things😱😱 it will make me learn a bit more about the history… Bridal Mask and Chicago Typewriter (2 other dramas set during Japanese invasion) are not available for me anywhere to watch atm … I hope this exciting drama will be available for me to watch :)

He’s one of the best Korean directors out there .. he directed among else ; Secret Love Affair, Something in the Rain, One Spring Night…etc.

Yes! China faaar from great country BUT is actually great in that sense that they execute adults who raped children —execute … in public too. So I respect them for that, at least. Korea, Japan could never… the child rapists just get a slap on the shoulder maybe 2-3 years in jail then they already out free…

China as bad as it seems there (no democracy etc ) at least care genuinely about the children and their safety

For that reason I wouldn’t boycott any of Yoo Ah In’s dramas, the only one he hurt was himself. Drugs are ofc bad but it’s nothing compared to hurt innocent people.

I boycott any dramas if the actress playing the FL or ml playing the ML has done something very horrible and unforgiving—and as for those I watched prior to their scandal I won’t rewatch. I watched the epic drama The Princess’ man back in 2012, before park shi hoo (the actor who plays the ml there) had his scandal. After his scandal (supposedly he most likely did something that made me sick to my stomach) I can’t anymore watch The princess’ man. It’s a shame because I love that drama so much , but I just can’t…

So I can’t watch or rewatch any of Kim Soo Hyun’s drama even if they are masterpieces! I don’t care if I’m being silly. If you hurt a innocent person purposefully you are a huge no no for me 🤢

For shock value, definitely the Japanese version. It’s even more dark and twisted than the Korean version. But if you want better romance I recommend the Korean version… chemistry was 🔥 too.

Most seem to love the iconic second couple of Business Proposal (even more so then the main couple) but no matter how hot they are together I just couldn’t like them (and I didn’t like the main couple either) , I felt their relationship was quite problematic. Business proposal didn’t do it for me at all, too cliche and cringe. I don’t understand why it was such a huge hit 🤷‍♀️ Well it had some very funny moments no doubt about that…

I didn’t like the second couple after the SML took advantage of the SFL drunken state and slept with her—she was SO drunk that she didn’t remember anything! And then he got grumpy because she didn’t remember , instead of apologizing to her =_=

I didn’t like the main couple because the FL didn’t ever seem that much into the ML … nor did I like that the ML was too pushy and basically used his power over her to basically force her to spend time with him.

So yeah, I couldn’t like either of the 2 couples. The acting was great tho.

I think(?) this is Nam Joo Hyuk’s first historical drama since Moon lovers: scarlet heart ryeo (2016) and there he wasn’t even the ML! So this is his first historical drama as the ML? I’m looking forward to this drama SO much !!

I agree , he’s much better in dark dramas and romantic serious dramas.
