Let people love who they love, be it man, woman...or elephant xD

Skip this review if you don't want spoilers and are easily swayed by other's opinions. Just know I recommend it 100%. You won't regret watching it.

As the iconic Namgung said " I don't understand why everyone's so interested in other people's business. Whether they're dating men, women or elephants. What does it matter to you? Stop taking interest in other people's dating lives and live your own. Please."
That quote really encapsulates this series pretty well.

Now to talk about my #1 best boy; Shin Daon. My sweet boy went through so much and gave so much of himself, I was so proud of how his journey progressed. No matter what anyone says, no one can force you to be ready to come to terms with something that you're not ready to deal with but your ownself. Daon's journey didn't relie on whether Shinwoo liked Tae and was waiting or whether Tae was willing to wait for Daon to be ready, time waits for no one. He had things to lose to think about, being the beloved President, if he put himself first and came out about his feelings, though we didn't get to see his parents like they made it a big deal about his parents being the chairmen of the school but no word to them about the rumors? They didn't even really bring back up what Daon told Tae that one night about his mom. Also, him shutting out, Tae to me wasn't selfish, they had only known eachother for a short amount of time personally and it's not like he could've texted, if I remember right, Tae's phone was broken at the time and meeting him in person wasn't an option as it would've created more rumors, which with Daon's personality and closeted self, is what concerned him. Anyways, I related to him so much through this series with myself being closeted, well partially closeted as now and a people pleaser. Him being a giver and people taking and taking without considering his feelings, he had to learn to set his boundaries, as did I. Daon became my comfort character and to quote the iconic Namgung again "If it's someone who truly cares for you, that person will like you and respect you regardless of what you do." I'm glad he eventually learned that and his character development was just chef kiss, I was so proud to see his growth and be able to speak his feelings carefree whether they were returned or not. Highkey shipped Namgung with Daon the last couple episodes especially after "If that's not the case, set them aside, you have me." My other best boy, Namgung.

Speaking of Namgung we didn't get to know much about him but we do know he was there when needed and put people in their place when they needed to be. His one flaw would be his heart was so big...too big especially towards someone that in my opinion didn't deserve it and no one can convince me otherwise. Anyways nosy best boy, Namgung made the stress less stressful and to give a push when needed I love him for that. If a second season were to happen, i'd like more on everyone's backstory but especially Namgung's.

Shinwoo my boy... what to say, if you didn't shoot yourself in the foot in the beginning like you did, you would've had what you wanted, so really i'm not understanding why that was a moment that happened but I'll convince myself that it was his evil twin cause that made no sense to me. I'm glad he understood what needed to happen between Daon and Taekyung whether the fans watching did or not. Since they were dead set on hating Daon. I'm glad the captain of his team had some brains at least, okay sorry for the bitterness, was just tired of Daon slander. Now... what will forever haunt me though Shinwoo confessed, now he didn't say he liked Tae directly but he did say so much more in front of the phone repair shop and it's glossed over like it didn't happen. That will bug me especially with being Team Daon since Daon had called Tae and that was never mentioned either. I'm glad towards the end they made him out to be less than this perfect, shy, can't express himself well character by showing his own red flag of getting easily jealous, it gave him more character. I wish we could've seen a flashback or something to his own coming out experience and how he dealt with liking a boy that people critized him for, to the point of shuting down his heart. Would've liked to know what the boy's response was to his feelings. Anyways, do I wish he had spoken up about his feelings to Tae instead of trying to force Daon to speak about his and leaving it to chance that Tae sees the texts? Yes cause what if he hadn't? Glad he let Tae respond on his own time to his feelings unlike the ones who say "Daon had his time, it's Shinwoo's time, he has been waiting." Making it sound like he was only being nice and there for Tae when he needed him, just to get in his pants. Reality is no one is owed a response right away if they're not sure.

Tae...Tae is sort of an anigma to me. Can I be sure of his feelings for anyone? Not really. He seemed to latch on to someone so quick if they make him a priority or are nice to him. Don't get me wrong I liked him for majority of the series and I was rooting for his happiness, which for majority of the series seemed to be Daon but was it? He tortured himself over him but did he really care about Daon in the way Daon cared about him? I have to wonder really cause he didn't really try to see things through Daon's pov, it highkey annoyed me when he would walk away when it didn't go his way, even when Daon tried to do what he could to express his sincere regret in shutting him out but I guess it fits with his honest, don't give a fxck attitude. From the very first episode he shuts down idiots in the school from gossiping about him and if I'm being honest, the students seemed scared of Tae hahaha, probably why they didn't seem to care if the loner who joined the Student Council was gay or not, to have an ounce of his confidence would be a dream. Seriously tho back to him and Daon, we didn't even get a final talk between them about their feelings before we see them cool and buddies like nothing happened. I feel Tae was just used as a plot device for Daon's coming out journey. I wish we could've seen how him and Daon went on to be back to normal and more on how his feelings became true for Shinwoo in such a short of amount of time cause Shinwoo deserves real love. In conclusion; Tae, my confident anigma you gave me stress but I care♡.

Sohee.. girlie was obsessed with my boy, Daon not in love, obsessed and it showed when she could smell his scent on Tae, like girl calm down and take some pride in yourself. Three years child? No man is worth lowering yourself lower than dirt to get rid of the one you percieved to be competition. To then to befriend said competition as if you didn't try to put a wedge between him and your crush by doing what you did, putting your crush in a difficult situation in the process? Fake and selfish.

Stress and plotholes aside, I very much enjoyed this show, doesn't beat out my #1 fave Korean BL; To My Star but it definitely left an impact on me that I already miss it and want to binge it over. Everyone on the cast played their roles well, I applaud them for being one of the best cast, especially Chan Yi and Woojin, seeing the behind the scenes makes me want to be their friend. Though I feel the slander got so bad to the point that Koktv either purposely or by accident didn't release Chan Yi's photo set like they did for the rest of the main cast and that saddens me. There are people that always take it too far over a show. Remember they are just acting people, no need to bring your hate towards the character to the real person behind the character. Unrelated but Ost is a bop, A.C.E came through with that one. The angelic, pretty music though is now a trigger lmao. I recommend this series to anyone 100 out of 100.
