I am on episode 6 and so far I hate Hye In. I started this drama so that I could watch Jena's plot in season 2. Hye In is a person who really likes to victimise herself. From lying about being rich and posting about it using other people's belongings, and then being angry that she was caught. She was just being really hateful to all her old school classmates when they called her out for her lie, and being hateful overall because other people were born rich. She acts like she is above it all, but she is a hypocrite. She goes on to STEAL Jena's shoes after beating her up, and then she plays victim. She doesn't even attempt to apologise after finding her shoes, and she just plays dense about the fact that it is entirely her fault that Jena hates her. I really wanted to see Jena beat her up because that girl really deserves it so much, because how is she going around stealing from someone and beating them up twice. I cannot with this girl. I'm not sure if I can even finish this season.
I HATED this drama when I watched it years ago. One of my first Japanese dramas. I couldn't understand the hype at all and I watched 3 versions of this story trying to like it, the only decent one was the Taiwanese movie because the characters were toned down a lot. It's so NICE going through the comments now and seeing all the hate because back I usually saw positive comments about this drama.
This drama had me hooked. I waited for it to finish airing so I can start. Somehow watched half the drama in one day 😅, I got no sleep. Loved the entire drama, all the characters especially Pei Zhen were really well written. Pei Zhen was a very interesting character, I wish him and the ML ended the drama with more of a brotherly relationship instead of just cutting each other off. But I get why their ending was like that, it's still really sad though especially after that flashback scene.
Considering how much of a rival Pei Zhen found the ML to be throughout his life, I think Pei Zhen genuinely did consider the ML to be his family at one point, but the ML never considered him family.
I think it started getting boring around episode 25, that's when I started to skip through because after they got together the episodes don't seem to be going anywhere.
I actually love this drama. I started it whilst it was ongoing thinking that I'd probably get bored of it before it completes, now I wait everyday for the episodes to release 😅. I rarely get this into modern Cdramas.
I loved this drama. At first if was a bit confusing mainly because the tags of this drama really mislead me. Someone needs to change the tags. The main focus of this drama is mental health and SA, with slight romance that fit really well into the story. I didn't think this drama would have me crying, but I cried throughout the last 4 episodes (out of 9). What really upset me was that justice wasn't really served, especially against all the SA perpetrators, but that's sadly very realistic especially in the situation this was presented in.
Is there a romance in this?If there is, is it an important part of the plot and storyline or just a side dish…
I think it was important, from the FLs perspective the ML was very important to her and her metal state (especially considering the fact that he plays a key role in her disassociated reality). The romance is more the ML getting to understand the female leads past, her SA and how it effected her and her mental health. This drama doesn't just focus on the victim of SA, it also focuses a lot on the family of the victim (which is what the ML will fall under), as well as the family of the perpetrator. We don't actually see much romance in the typical sense, but he is essentially her partner who is always there for her but the FL doesn't really let him in until the end after the whole story is told about her past and her mental health. His character is implemented into the story really well, without really getting into any spoilers, his character plays a huge role even when he is not her love interest. So no I don't think his character could have been 'dispensed' with.
He is listed as a guest role but from the bts pictures he seems to play a much bigger role. Why is he listed as only a guest role is he is playing her love interest?
The calendar has been in the Discussion and Photos section since the moment the first episode got released. There…
I saw the calender. It didn't say when the express pack will be out, I subscribed to Iqiyi premium but it doesn't say when the express pack will be out and since it's Christmas soon I thought it might be delayed to after Christmas.
They confirmed the final episode will release on the 22nd?! When it comes to Cdramas I never trust the MDL release dates because the dramas usually finish airing earlier, it said 28th yesterday and now it's the 22nd. Where can I find the official schedule? It doesn't show on the Iqiyi app or webpage.
I was so confused at the end of episode 20 because she is in Thailand, meets the ML who seems to be able to walk…
The surgery part was weird in the drama. I would have just assumed she was speaking to a Chinese doctor, but the hospital, all the signs and everything at the hospital was also in Chinese. If they didn't have all the signs I would have just assumed Canada.
I like the side characters and their storylines, and the racing aspect which there isn't that much of so far. But the main leads storyline together isn't interesting. The MLs background and storyline is starting to get interesting, but I don't really like the romance and the FL has no storyline so far (at episode 12).
After watching 3 adaptions if Itazura na Kiss, I try to avoid it. But after reading several reviews, it seems the ML isn't that bad in this version so I really want to give this version a go. Currently obsessed with Mike's character in Speed and Love, and I always wanted to like a version of Itazura na Kiss because I've never understood the hype, I've seriously tried.
Vicious Princess - You delight in displays of power. Making those worthless peasants dance to your tune is only a small past time. Hoarding wealth and gaining influence is your real goal. (I feel like my answers didn't really go with this one though)
I am watching this vertical drama right now https://youtu.be/wiXE9widFOc and I can't find it in this list. He is in SO MANY vertical dramas, and I can't figure out if this one is even in this list after going through most if it.
