The Double and Legend of the Female General! I just read Legend of the Female General and thought the ex husband was very similar to what I read the ex husband in The Double novel was written as. Did not realise it was written by the same author.
I can't find today's episodes 😭. I read last week that 2 episodes are meant to come out every day this week, they changed our. Now it's 1 episode for like the next 4 days. It was finally getting to the good part.
Can someone spoil the ending to me please. I stopped watching this after 8th episode.
I don't remember what happened in episode 9, but the ML finds out from his brothers ex that his brother is gay. So he chases after the FL because he likes her and think his brother is using her, without her knowledge, he confesses then she confesses, whilst still in her arrangement with the brother. The sister was trying to find out what was going on between the 3 and finds out the FL is seeing the ML and tells the brother and reporters. The brother thinks the FL betrayed his secret and about the contract, ML walks in and finds out the marriage was fake and is angry at her so they break up. Reporters harass her, ML has a press conference saying he is the one who chased her, he leaves. Brother has a press conference saying wedding is fake then he leaves for New York.
Episode 12 is one year later, ML and FL were not in contact for that time. ML starts his own business and is estranged from his family other than his grandfather and brother. FL becomes a bigger actress, bigger supporting roles but she seemed to be doing well.
They get together last minute. He proposes, next scene is a wedding, but it is a wedding she is acting in for a drama (Lee Soo Hyuk as guest). ML and FL walk off the wedding set, the end.
The SFL also finds someone last minute (the actor who played the brother in Tail of the Nine Tailed).
What was with that ending, I hated it. They dragged episode 11 and 12, but somehow the ending was still rushed and just terrible. I LOVED the first 8 or so episodes of this drama, but then it started going downhill. There was like a mystery element with the sister and the reporter finding out about the mother's death, the reveal was not surprising and it went NOWEHERE and isn't even acknowledged. Do Han was great at the end, but his charecter started to develop and become more considerate in like episode 8 (where he seemingly stops being as selfish), then he does a 180 goes back to his old ways, but then in the last episode he is goes back to being the decent person he was for about one episode. This drama had so much potential.
I remember looking at the casting list earlier and it had Hong Yao as a guest role. It has since been updated to show him as a support. I love his role and was surprised that he was only a guest, happy that he is playing a bigger role as I didn't want to see him leave suddenly. But is he not listed as a special appearance actor in the trailer. Why does MDL show differently.
I liked the ending, I really thought it wasn't going to be a happy one for several minutes. But I really wish he somehow got his memories back since the ending is set the day after everything, but I loved that they showed the old couple at the end. I really don't understand how the old man and women exist in that time though.
I loved this drama, but the ending! It is only 6 epispdes, I should have epsected open ending for such a short drama with such a large plot. I NEED a season 2.
1. There were six bags of supplies in the first shadow puppet level. But seven players. Hei Fei died so they only…
All of these questions are answered later in the show:
1. I think the one that was not suppose to be there is Uncle Lin, because (huge spoiler) he is technically Chun Yu's father whose consciousness is in the cook's body. 2. ML knows the FL, they were really close childhood friends (in the same neighbourhood) and he recognised her immediately. He was also shown to be watching her in the past, but didn't have the guts to approach her. 3. He is one of the people that helped make the game. He worked with the FL's father who actually created the game. The man and the FL's father both realised how dangerous the game was and wanted to destroy it. The man tried to warn the FL about the game because she was being targeted by the other game developer (he was the investor and partner), to lure out the FL's father who entered the game world with the sole purpose of destroying it. FL was essentially the bait and every other player were just the casualties. 4. Is this the dragon? There isn't really a sequence. They listen to what son is playing and each key is the title to the song and they enter the key that has that title. They enter the door, go around, come out and do it again and again. At the end they enter the key into the bell because the final key is the blank key. There was no music playing, so it is the blank key, they found that the "door" to this key is not a door, but a bell. After inserting the key, they pass the level and the dragon is destroyed. 5. She makes very few appearances in the drama, despite being in the cover picture. The ML rejects her upfront, the ML does not care for her at all and does not take her BS, no one else really pays attention to what she says or does. She is told about the game by one of the roomates who is in the game, so she enters it herself because the ML is in it and dies in the first game almost immediately, and then she is in a coma. When we see her again, it's as if she doesn't care anymore about the ML romantically anymore, probably because of the hell the game put her through. 6. This is one of the game developer. The investor who funded the FL's father in creating the world in the game and who is trying to get people to play this game just to torture them, because he hates the world and he hates himself for the death of his daughter. 7. Dr Ji is the only one we are shown, but it implied that the hospital was in on it. 8. No one is dead. When they die in the game, they go into a coma and their consciousness is trapped in another part of the game. 9. Everyone was sucked into the game. The FL was the only one that they wanted to put in the game, everyone else, including the ML ended up in the game because of the accident. There was no special reason the ML got into the game, though I do think it was weird how he entered the game without being in the accident. I think it every single person that took part in first the testing of the game eneded up in the game. The ML is very into research and tech so it makes sense for him to already have this new game and he likely was also testing it. 10. More players come in, including the both roomates of the FL and the guy that keeps calling the FL demon. Essentially anyone else that later tested the game, also ended up being forced to play the game. I think there were other players in the game, but they were not in the FL's game. I think after the first tester batch, the later people that entered the game were chosen because they are close to the FL, because her other 2 roommates also ended up in the game.
I LOVED this drama. It had amazing character development for everyone, especially the really annoying characters. By the end of the drama, every single character is genuinly likeable/loveable, which I don't usually see in dramas.
I never expect a happy ending for these kind of costume dramas. But, despite the fact that this drama was cut short, it had a really good pace and an amazing ending. Honestly, the most perfect ending I have seen in a costume drama.
Hello! I hope you don't mind me sharing my take on this. I was a bit hesitant to watch after reading comments…
I think her dream was entirely a dream, but when it came to the ML, despite her thinking that the ML didn't like her, I think she somehow knew in her subconscious that he liked her. He even said in the last episode how he always liked her but never confessed to her, but always thought it must have been very obvious to her that he liked her.
The ML always liked her and let her be when she decided to get married to his best friend. He did nothing to pursue her and thought her to be happy and safe. He only started to protect her after her divorce, and even then he could not as his mother didn't allow his interference in the FL's life until he fulfilled his duties to the family business. I think the first time he actually protected her was when he found her in the first episode almost dead.
Other than the MLs feelings for the FL being real, every other aspect of the dream was just a dream. Even the ML in her dream was completely different to the ML in the real world because in her dream he literally had her locked up to protect her when all she wanted was freedom. The ML in the real world would never have done anything like that, he went out of his way to ensure she was happy (such as trying to buy a slave (her husband's lover) to see her smile) even if it meant her not being with him. I would have liked to know the real ML because he was so much more perfect for her than the one in her dream.
I did love the drama. I think I was more interested in the mystery aspect of why the ML liked her outside of the dream. I HATED how it ended on a cliffhanger, the entire drama is her dream and ends with her finally waking up after accepting the reality. It was really sad to see her guard go, he was such a sweet character, I understand that he was suppose to represent the FL, but seeing the guy who seemed more like the ML than the actual ML just disappear was sad.
I also hated that we saw so little of the ML. He is hardly in this drama, I kept waiting foe him to make more appearances, we see the most of him only in the last episode. I am pretty sure he also wasn't in several of the episodes, if he was, then only for a few minutes. If I didn't know he was the ML, I would not have guessed just from watching this drama, at least not until the last episode.
Yes, there is a SFL at the start but she likes another character after a few episodes and they have a really nice side story. There is also a SML, but he and the FL have a close platonic relationship (considering each other family) despite him having a crush on her, he doesn't really make a move but is always on her side.
