As I recall, he did give Miyu the letter from Marcos. I think he didn't initially know that LZZ hadn't landed the deal and the envelope didn't have a name but when he did realize he didn't want to embarrass the lady. He did have a word with LZZ.

You are right about her realizing her mistake, but she now clearly knows that he has feelings for Miyu, and that it's mutual, which is why she sent him off to buy dessert so she could have a chat with her to try to persuade her to not pursue a relationship with him. Hopefully his response to Miyu leaving the restaurant makes her realize that her pursuit is futile.

I agree about using younger actors, but his younger self, IMO, has absolutely no resemblance to him. I am always amazed by how perfect Luo Yunxi was playing the younger him in My Sunshine. Was shocked when I learned that!
