She is looking miserable in that hospital bed. Wonder how ill her husband is and whether she regrets treating him so poorly or marrying damaged goods.

Episode 6 did not disappoint and our couple made so much progress!!!

It was great to see the prince stand up to the queen mother, who is such a raging bitch. (Kudos to the actress.) The way her eyes bulged with disbelief when he proposed and the little boy approved it was epic. For the first time she lost some composure. Loved how the little king ignored her. He knows which side his bread is buttered on.

The PM is feeling all smug now after telling the grand prince he knows their secret. I wanted to smack him. So glad Yi An made her promise to keep everything between them confidential. I hope she honors that.

Yi An has completely fallen for Hui Ju and I am all there for it. He has also started to fill her heart, and she is fiercely protective of her prince, which I loved seeing. She was, like, let's leave this palace before I have to kick a bitch's ass. Couldn't believe how rude the dowager was toward the end of that meal.

The yacht scene was complete chef's kiss for me from the moment she stuffed that cherry into his mouth until the moment he held on tight to her and that kiss. That kiss!!! That kiss!!!!!!!!!

Well, the feelings are definitely bubbling to the surface and annoying SML (I hate them) has been making moves on FL, while ML is feeling very, very jealous as he builds up the courage to make his move. Yes, we'd all like him to move faster, but there are important considerations, like he's her boss and the gossip will reach epic levels. He's also been her biggest support workwise.

It's complicated.

For me it has been worth the wait, albeit kind of frustrating, because I think the payoff is going to be big. Also, there's so much family and workplace drama going on, making it wild soapy fun to watch.

So hard to tell, am leaning toward no, but the way she feels so entitled and expects him to stand up for her makes me wonder.

He was raging with jealousy when he said it and deeply regrets it. Plus, getting blackout drunk gave fuel to the fire of the lobby subordinates who want to burn her. Not cool.

Gross. I have missed this bit about the portrait, but I wonder if it's his sicko response to the romantic painting analogy she made about her feelings for Ji Feng and conflict with influencer chick. She's another person I want to strangle. Ji Feng is being very diplomatic, but she knows he's yearning for Miya. Have to give these two interlopers A for effort, though, no matter how desperate I am for them to go away.

He gave me the ick from the start. He doesn't even really know Miyu, but wants to take her away and reconfigure her life. I wish she'd stop giving him hope.

Episode 30, I believe.

Well, she's at least a good worker and earning some good money now. Just wish she would do it from a ghost kitchen far away from the hotel.

I loved that, too. Meanwhile, Ji Feng is thrilled (for now) that she dares to still be angry with him because that's what she honestly feels. He also wants her to just be her best self, which he encourages, and she is thriving. She's been doing so many things outside the purview of her job as lobby manager and now she's even coming up with ideas to bring in new business? Wowza!!!

Kevin is all "Take it easy. That's too challenging," Kenny Ji, in contrast, is giving her so many challenges and opportunities to shine. Can't wait till Xue Rui goes back to the Finance Department and Miyu replaces him at that desk in the GM's office as Ji Feng's partner in arms.

I pray not, but thankfully, Xue Rui has put security on notice. That horrible woman needs to make her husband get a decent job and work hard because what if the mother decides to abandon her feckless husband and stay in Shanghai?

I know, I know. I admit defeat. Thought of yesterday's comment the second I saw that scene. My only comfort is that Ji Feng is end game. :)

That mother gets on my nerves. She's not there forever, is she? How long will it take to train pastry chefs to make that dim sum? She's such an interfering old bat.

ZZ is in for a whole world of hurting. It looks like Mr. Nie may have stomach cancer. Even if it's not cancer, from their reactions things are looking very, very bad. He needs to give Miyu her money and rack up some good karma.

It was so amazeballs to see how Miyu's former social set was thrilled by her transformation instead of looking down on her for taking that job.

Mr. Tan is indeed taking more initiative in the pursuit of Miyu, but thank goodness he is not endgame. I bloody hate SMLs but I guess we need him to spur Ji Feng into action, which I also hate, but try to remember that JF is so cautious and introverted that he needs this. But I also hope that for the final 8 episodes it's enough already and we get to power coupling. As I've said before, there are still many more demons to slay in that hotel.

I know, right?!? I am losing it! And so confused!

Wondering if she will actually kiss Tan jr. because she clearly initiates a kiss with Ji Feng and is going to sleep with him. Then, of course, influencer chick has to ruin things. Take your depressed self somewhere else!!! And Miyu, stop listening to the gossip.

I know Tan is very sweet and better at taking the lead in wooing Miyu, but I just don't think he's the one for her. He wants to give her the easy life but she is overflowing with ambition and innovative ideas and desperate to achieve high goals. She's even got bitchy lobby girl trying to think strategically!

At least Ji Feng will start being way more open about his intentions.

I need to rest now. The adrenaline is racing.
