I think maybe he was his master when they were young? when Gao Ran went to visit him, Elder Zheng talked about teaching him when he was a kid or something like that? Not sure if I'm remembering correctly. That's the only thing that made sense to me, otherwise it's really silly

especially during the kidnapping scenes, I felt like I was watching a short drama. It felt so amateurish but I don't careeee. give me more Fan Yu, she's adorable
Exactly Absolutely what i want to say too. It is "flawed" but absolutely entertained.😻💕
I'm actually so humbled because I dropped Ashes to Crown for the flaws. and then I find the same flaws here and I don't even care, I love all the characters so much.
Tianbiao's sacrifice was so emotional, and I felt sad watching his body drift away in space. I enjoyed getting to see him one last time with that awesome purple hair - I wish the shot had lingered to allow us to sit with the emotion a bit longer.

okay, I finished all the 4 episodes and it DOES NOT get better. it's just an amateur project with an average script and even worse editing. some people don't mind quality as long as they're being entertained, but I do. It was an easy decision to drop for me.

I feel you. I spent the entire day counting down the hours. And I was so excited for Wang Churan and Cheng Lei to have dramas airing simultaneously. I thought it would be something better. This feels like a project for like lesser known actors or something. But people are saying it gets better from ep2, so I hope so...
Watching the first episode, I get the impression it had a small budget. I could say it feels like it sat on the…

Haha. I do think that it’s the production’s way of having him come out of his shell though. Plus his reactions…
right!! I came to this after watching Love Between Lines and I was shook 🤣 I really bought the whole suave persona he was selling in LBL - he made it look so natural

he's such a sweetie but that was so hard for me to watch 🤣 especially watching him celebrate after getting it done, thinking he's accomplished something huge lol
Just finished this and this has to be one of the best dramas I've ever seen. And it maintained the humor and clever writing all the way through, which is unfortunately rare for cdramas!!
Dropped on episode 10, when Chu Zhao is now leading entire military strategy sessions while two hardened generals take their lead from her. 🤣 But I really enjoyed the last 9 episodes! And Tang Xiao Tian is always a delight to watch
I think that is what makes this case different. It goes back 18 years ago, showing how hard it is to solve cold…
that's great that you can. But I think it's implausible, and I think it's bad writing to hinge the climax of the final arc on something that requires such a leap of logic.
I also don't see the relevance of police being trained to notice mundane things. This case requires ordinary people (not police) to have extraordinary memory, which to me stretches reality too much. human memories are notoriously bad even in just a few weeks, so it's quite silly that every single person remembered exactly what they needed to remember 13 years later.
