To me, Perfect Propose is what Minato Shouji Coin Laundry should have been - a compact well laid out story about two people who recognize their need for each other. Both have similar plot lines where one-sided love that turns into something more and arguably deeper when the other realizes the deep connection they have. In both you have a chaser who is infatuated with the other because of the little things that meant something more; they are caring and attentive to that person’s needs and takes a while for the other to recognize and appreciate that - food plays an important aspect in this regard.

Both series are centered around a cooking theme where one of the main characters is aspiring to become a chef. In both series the aspiring chefs (Tops in Ingredients and Aron in Better Days) have lost their parents whereas the second leading actors (Martin in Ingredients and Kian in Better Days) are having issues with their parents and have chosen to live away from them. Also, one of the storylines is the second leading actor helping the chef peruse his dreams. Of course both series have a BL theme and center around the more than friends budding relationship between the two.

Similar concept between the two series using the lockdown caused by the COVID pandemic as the basis of their stories. The stories are told in a video chat type format and quality, where the audience Is watching the video conversations between the two characters.

The difference is the Gameboys series is one long story thread about the blossoming friendship/love between the two main characters. Whereas Quarantine Stories are 10 distinctLy unique short films that have no storyline connection between each film in the series.
