Yeah the mom was the height of toxicity, she not only was physically abusive, she was also super manipulative…
That's 1000% accurate, she just wanted bragging rights to hide her own insecurity behind.

I love this trope so I was really excited for watching this drama . during initial episodes I enjoyed it and had…
Yeah the mom was the height of toxicity, she not only was physically abusive, she was also super manipulative and trying so hard to get FL back with SML and without even knowing the context of their break-up.

Also I'm 99% sure that Lee Jin Wook is alive having been shot basically offscreen and by a guard who is probably…
that should be 100% cuz there is no way that did not happen, if he actually is dead off-screen is first; a complete waste of his talents and second; there was no point in establishing a connection between PGY and LJW's characters.

The marketing was laughably insane!
and completely unnecessary, just a waste of money by Netflix cuz people were gonna watch it anyway.

To each their own...as long as it is entertaining ans vibe with us. If a person enjoy it...they'll give it high…
don't bother replying to people who go look at your profile looking for anything to attack you with, that just means that you've won the argument and your opinion was so right and good that they had to resort to personally attacking you.

IRL these are the kind of people that resort to violence immediately when they lose in a verbal battle.

Really? real life representation? are you mad?Do you in real life go straight into a super serious relationship…
It just baffles me, the word "mad" isn't even an insult, it's more of a state of mind, it also has a positive connotation depending on the context, in no way is it a word that needed you to blow a gasket over, which is why it's so puzzling to mešŸ¤”

It's a solid 8/10, anymore than that would be an insult to season 1.
That's true, It's like how IGN gives everything a 7/10 and now that rating means nothing.

Title Squid Game Season 2 Spoiler
Just finished S2 and wanted to write my thoughts on it:

While not as good as S1, it had its brilliant moments too;
like the frontman actively manipulating everyone and coming out on top

Gi Hun failing to do anything even with all of that money and previous knowledge of the games

frontman's brother always being a step behind

new games that were entertaining to watch

representing an LGBT character in a way that feels natural and not forced at all, I really wanna give them props for that cuz in western media currently there is a wave of LGBT representation in movies, games and dramas that always feels forced, and the characters are always defined just by their sexuality and never by who they are as a person and in S2 they did a fantastic job of creating a character the felt believable and in no way forced.

they also made Gi Hun's growth believable, usually in sequels they make the main character too much OOC, and it always feels unnatural and messes with the continuity of the story but in S2 Gi Hun and what he did with the money matches the level of intelligence he had in S1, they didn’t suddenly make him a genius, he was still a too trusting idiot that is now a little more prepared by everything he's seen in S1 and the money of course.

Criticisms: I don't have much to criticize cuz the story has yet to be finished, so I reserve judgment after I see what ending they wanna do for the whole series, S2 did an admirable job of setting up several story lines with a major confrontation to come, so I have a lot to look forward to.

I've seen a lot of people complain and criticize S2 and compare it to S1 unfairly, and I find that to be quite premature cuz S1 had a complete and finished story to tell with two confrontations and a major twist while in S2 we only have half of that and that half is mostly setting up the climax for S3 so of course it's not gonna be as good as S1.

I'll give it a solid 8/10.

Min Su was relatable. He was an introvert, he was scared...no, he was terrified. Thanos and his boy bullied and…
As an introvert I saw a lot of myself in Min Su which is why I can give him a break for some of his choices but not jumping on top pf the guy attacking Semi was something I can't forgive him for, it also could be my bias and crush on SemišŸ˜

Did we watch the same thing??It's pretty good as season 1.The only bad thing is that netflix split them into season…
Yep, that's 100% accurate, S2 was just setting up the confrontation and the setting. But in S1 we had a full story with 2 confrontations with "villains" so obviously it's gonna feel much better to people.

Is it me or Lee Jung Jae's acting is off at most of the times? He being the main character in the whole series…
I think that in S1 he was playing the bumbling buffoon who got ahead by pure luck, and he played that excellently cuz there is so much to do with a character like that, but in S2 he's supposed to be all serious and depressing so he doesn't get much opportunity to showcase his acting.

On top of that, we had a full story in S1 with two confrontations with villains that gave him an opportunity to shine, in S2 it's laying the groundwork for the final confrontation in S3, so there isn't much he can do here.

The spoiler tag exists for a reason... wtf
I fixed that, autocorrect messed it up.
and as I said before, people who come to read comments on a finished drama's comment section go there with the understanding that they may be spoiled, that's common sense.

Most Kdramas are great until the unnecessary breakup🄺 hopefully we see less and less of this trope in the future.

Someone that's looking for a great story and doesn't give a shit about others opinion isn't gonna come looking in a finished drama's comment section.

It's barely started and it's already a 7.7. it doesn't bode well
for me personally it has always been accurate and close to what I feel a drama deserves, except for reborn rich, that shit deserves a very generous 2/10 and that's it.
and even if we just go by the vibe I'm getting from the rating, it's one of those that I wait and watch after it finishes airing, cuz Korean historical dramas lately have been a let-down for me.
