While i sympathise with the pain she's going through. A contract is a contract. However unfair. She signed it
I agree. I get this feeling that she’s a bit too naive, and should have someone helping her in this, because she doesn’t know how to approach the problem professionally. She’s essentially depending on her fandom to speak up for her. She’s been in the industry for a while now, she should have been more conscious when she signed, as well as who she was signing to.
What everybody knows is that you are a troll ,and a hater in chief who pops up everywhere her name is mentioned…
That’s really not the case, I don’t think. I’m neither a far or hater of Zhao Lusi. I’ve watched her in many dramas, and have noticed how toxic and obsessed her fandom is. I’m not one to follow celebrities very much, but she strikes me as wanting attention. She’s very naive, you can tell by how she talks and defends herself. I’m not saying she hasn’t suffered under this tyrannical agency, but still. I think the fault lays in both sides.
The editing is so patchy, like they're axed the amount of episodes in half and had to deal with it blindfolded.…
Completely agree. Went in this because of the leads and how good people were speaking about it, but ngl, I’m a tad disappointed. Everything feels very costume-ey and fake. The makeup is really exaggerated, but not in a good way, like in Money is Coming
I'm so sad because every time I try to pick this up, I never follow through and finish it. It's low-budget, but that not even the whole problem. The SML is so fine 😭🙏 I really like Chinese republican era dramas, so I'm sad that I can't seem to complete this. Anyone willing to help? 😭 How's the ending?
I'm a fan of Xianxias, and I've watched quite a few. I've always shied away from this one, though--not sure why. Is it worth watching? How's the romance? Ending?
I finished watching ALP a few days ago, and I'm currently recuperating. Is this drama worth watching? I don’t usually watch long dramas, especially Xianxias, that have a rating of 8.4 or lower. However, I would be interested in watching the son's perspective. Is the romance any good? I'm seeing conflicting reviews in general.
If I had to rate this drama based only on its production, visuals, and cast, I would give it a solid 9.0. However, considering the emotional rollercoaster the plot took me on, I believe it deserves a strong 8.5. I would rate it somewhere in the middle if I could.
This is a really good drama despite some minor flaws--which could totally be just me. I usually re-watch series that I rate highly, but I do not see myself watching this again anytime soon, simply because of how time-consuming and thick the plot was--which shouldn't be a surprise, considering it's a Xianxia.
Just started this, and I'm excited for the story to unfold further. So far so good! This drama is so HD that it feels more like watching a theatre performance than a screen production. I think this may also be due to the exaggerated makeup and flashy colors everywhere.

It’s so dumb 🙄
I'm reading some comments that say that the story is rushed and that the ending isn't satisfactory. Is this correct?
