Krit was getting on my nerves in the last ep. I just can’t with his jealous nonsense. Like I get it but you also knew exactly what your man did for work before making him your man so… CHILL!
I can’t figure out if these guys were styled and dressed down for the purpose of their characters or if they've just been blessed with major glow ups since 2024. It feels like an attempt was made to make them look young enough to play the college scene but it failed lol
No, because I keep wondering if something happened behind the scenes, because WHY would he put himself in this…
I think the why makes sense actually because it’s from the same team as Top Form, which we know was a success. Just look at what the role of Akin did for Boom! So yeah, Tong wanting to be in this makes perfect sense to me.
As for Boom, everything that’s happened is the fault of one person - SMART. This series wouldn’t even exist if not for his contract breaching. I wouldn’t be surprised if Boom could no longer take part in this legally because of the lawsuit WeTV currently has going against Smart. It’s so messed up but he’s likely in limbo until that matter is officially resolved.
Just saw Tong (Chet) in a trailer for an upcoming BL series in which he’ll be the lead and it reminded of TWG and this comment section as the series was airing. At the time there was a really adamant fan of Tong’s here insisting the guy would never do a BL. My thoughts and prayers are with that fan today 🙏
No, he recently said he had no acting projects in the pipeline. We also don't know if he's fully been released…
update: his management company announced an “original” series a month or so ago and S has been hinting at future acting work since then. He was also officially and formally sued last month by WeTV for breaching his contractual obligations with them. I think he’s either speaking naively about his future acting plans or being purposely dishonest to keep collaborative and endorsement opportunities coming his way since those are the only “jobs” he has right now.
Jin is an actor and actors are no stranger to plastic surgery so I don’t see why they couldn’t recast the role and then play off the new face with an offhand remark about a nose job or something. Honestly, it doesn’t even need to be a big deal as long as the new actor embodies the character and the chemistry is just as good (if not better) and the storytelling is epic. If all of those things are top notch then the audience is likely to reinvest in a second season recast.
I’m surprised by a lot of the reactions here. This was always a series about an alien bakery. The rights may have changed but the plot line never did. Y’all wanted this tomfoolery of a series years ago but now that it’s finally here it’s too childish? Lol. Even Jeff’s own remarks about the series were consistently lighthearted and unserious in tone. I guess I’m just confused because what kind of series were some of ya’ll expecting if not literally this? 🤣
I was indifferent to the pilot and had little to no intention of even watching because I never liked this pairing. I loved Jeff in KP but didn’t care for Barcode at all. It was only after he impressed me in Revamp that I added this to my watchlist. I like him a lot better in this than KP.
Is this series a hot mess? Sure, but it was always a low budget project and surely Jeff and Barcode knew as much when they took on the project in the first place. At the end of the day they saw something worthy in the script at the time and I imagine they had a lot of fun with these characters. I’d love to see some bloopers! Point is, it’s not a serious series! Never was. And honestly it’s a really good thing it’s not because the fact that it is a comedy works much better against its noticeably low budget! I’d rather watch this alien bakery nonsense 10x on a loop than suffer through even 5 minutes of Love is Like a Cat again.
Also, the OST is so pretty!
TL;DR - people be taking this unserious series too seriously
Maybe they changed the character a bit to better suit the new actor but as it stands I can’t imagine James in the role of Klao. Not a slight to him or anyone else, just an observation. I’m not entirely sold on Net and JJ as a pair (yet) either. They look like they could be brothers 💀
That said - the series is pretty good, though I definitely preferred the vibe of the first episode. Also, hope the second pair gets a series of their own in the future. They’re charming.
it’s the song after that one! it plays during their magic mike type dance lol. I was so fixated on that song I didn’t even realize there had been another song before it lol

I still have a ways to go (5/20) though so maybe it’ll improve?
