Starting was nice. In the middle episodes dragged a little and there were pacing issue, a lot of things were introduced so it was difficult to catch up. But after ep 6 it got better. The chemistry, acting, humour, visuals, fantasy theme is great though. The writer could have done a better job in some places. But overall its entertaining. You should try it.

He is an angel of death. Quiet interesting character, is not a complete angel, has his own motives. His bent his head down infront of humans as commanded by God. He has the responsibility to slit the throat of Iblis after he either bends his head in front of humans or fails to corrupt a person even after fulfilling his 3 wishes. So Ejlael desperately wants his mission to be completed. He also wished victory against the genies in the war that lasted 300 years, where he took the charge against the genies, as head of the angels (kind of).
Other than that, he is a rich man owning a lot of lands, buildings in the modern world. He has a on-off relationship with Iblis, doesn't love him entirely doesn't hate him as well. They were kind of brothers in the past so have a bickering frenemy vibe.

I literally wrote 3 comments before this one telling them that its just fiction, and to not take it so seriously. But you just saw this one? I wrote this here, because some people went on criticizing Islam, I mean this is a page for the show not of Islam so discussions about it shouldn't happen here.

Yes I did address that first. I even criticized the person who said the thing about hell fire. But yes you might not have seen that because people are writing so much stuff, so those comments probably went down.

Don't make the comment section so bad. Don't make it a place to spread islamophobia. Be kind and mindful of others. The space should be used to share jokes, thoughts in a mindful way. Ignore what's not for you. Come on, be rational, this should be a happy space.

Maybe I have no idea about that. Honestly, this drama was hyped from the very first because it was a reunion of the leads after 9 years. It was one of the most awaited dramas of this year. Also both of them have strong fan bases. Steve Noh, Ahn Eun Jin all are pretty popular and I have seen people watching the drama just for them. Along with this, the genre is comedy, love, fantasy, which is really popular. The plot was new- genie and psychopath, so it was intriguing. So I think it was pretty evident people would at least try the drama. Tempest on the other hand, got famous after it released all because of bodyguard-damsel in distress scenarios.

I just feel no one should watch a show for a controversy. Especially Muslims, who are actually offended by watching it, should leave this and recommend their Muslim friends/relatives not to watch it. It doesn't make sense that ohh its offensive, so we will watch it and criticize it continuously. I mean they cannot do anything about it really. Its upto the makers. Yeah I have heard show makers enjoy negative publicity as well, so yeah maybe!

If that was so, then why would they review it 1, within 3 hours of airing. I don't know if its true ir not, but its just weird.

Also they like went to Dubai 4 times in 13 episodes. My God, it was like visiting the next house! That promotion of Dubai tourism was so funny!
I want to go there now more than anything! That was their intention and they are successful in that.

Its a drama! A fictional story! Everything that they show is lies! There is no past life, no genie, no lamp, no 3 wishes, no Satan, no God (that humans can see). Yes there are beliefs, thoughts, rules! That is different for different people. No one would really learn any religion from any drama! If they want to learn they would read books, ask elders. Let a drama be a drama!

Its so funny someone said we will burn in hell if we watch it! I mean? Just think with a rational mind. Majority of Koreans are non religious, its their industry, their drama. Their dramas are made for them firstly. People internationally liked it later. Its upto them to decide who their target audience is. You can stop watching anytime you wish!

Someone down the comment section rightly pointed out- don't make your beliefs so fickle that they get shattered by a mere drama!
