Oh he certainly looked at the right direction then cause Kdramas do have some really hot kissing scenes. Kdramas have come a long way on intimate scenes and now they mostly deliver. So well done LYN

All caught up and here is what I think:
1) We've got a delulu mother on the loose. Lady Zhu...honestly, Grow Up! We all know grief can take your sanity sometimes but this is too much. I don't thunk she's a bad person...A bad mother= Definitely. Like QX said, she really has not been a mother to WS. Maybe, he reminds her of what happened...I don't know. I'm just really irritated by her. Chu Yu = good riddance to bad rubbish. Like move bi*** get out of the way, get out of the way bi*** get out of the way😀
2) I really like QX and her willingness to want to make this marriage thing work. But mam walk the walk more. She literally has the power to make WS not act on his hate. And we've seen how he reacts to any of her actions...good or bad. I'm glad Lady Xu was quick to clock it and check her. Gal, just talk to your hubby and stop feeding his paranoia. The whole mind games, manipulation etc. really doesn't do WS good so I hope she can just be an open and honest wife. The poor boy needs her since his own mother is not hesitant to harm him.
3) Lady Xu remains the wise one but I hope her wisdom and foresight keeps his prodigal grandson in check. So far it looks like she is biased towards him. I really want to like you granny so don't disappoint me.
4)WS is such a cinammon roll and oh boi, how weeped is he...hehehe. It's sad cause the minute he let his guard down towards QX, something happens and he put those walls up again. And then she does good and he goes back to simping 😆🤣 That whole exchange between his mother and QX he overheard (glad he did) at least gave him reassurance that his wife is not there to harm him but she cares. These two just needs consistency and open communication and not this tiring dance....yeah the latter will start get tiring.
5) WS's comrades in arms and Mr Advisor are so adorkable. Gotta give props to his advisor. Not only is the poor man his teacher, therapist, life coach etc. He is on call 24/7 too....sigh. Nowonder, he keeps telling WS to get along with his wife. He just needs a break or holiday. Oh I loved that coughing problem he had going. Whatever to get him a break, I guess....hehe
6) When I thought Chu Yu is gone, we have a delinquent Cousin Wei in town....🙄 So far, Mr Wei prodigal cousin...Grow Up or mind the business that pays you. So far = Annoying.
7) So not only do we have Wei, YanZhong, Boa, Panyu, Xiandu, XiangLing, Xiao Gang etc states, we have Bianzhu too...my head is spinning. Anywho, so in Bianzhu, we have a self-proclaimed wanna be Empress and her sick husband. And why do I think, she poisoned her hubby hence why the Uncle is wary of her evilness...hmmm, we shall see. TBH, I'm intrigued by her...like what kind of chaos she will bring.

P.S. This drama is literally that refreshing drink after a days work.
Btw, is that Bath scene The bath scen everyone keeps on about in the novel? Cause, I wanna know what makes it the "Bath scene"😉

Nah, I don't care how they explaine/justify it cause that Betrayal hurts the most. Imagine being told that...we decided not to intervene to save your family because of a divination. I would throw them into the fire and say the divination told me to....hehehe
Truth of the matter is, trust was broken and it's hard to rebuild it.

Bi Zhi should be protected at all cost. He is such a precious very strong man..hehe

Now that I'm all caught up, here is what I think...
1) I understand everyone who hates the Qiao cause what they did was really heartless. The Qiao did the Wei dirty cause albeit the former thought they were allies, only to be ghosted at a very tragic time. However though, the Qiao did not kill the Wei...Morally wrong yes so as much as I understand the hate, I feel like some Wei members are just using this so called hate to hide their true evil nature. And time will tell.
2) Xiao Qiao my gal is trying to create a balance but I guess she needs to tread carefully cause there are some hidden figures trying to create discord. I hope this incident will make her more wary and tougher. She is very clever so I'm not too worried. Btw...is our FL already falling in love 😍 well that didn't take long.
3) Wei Shao...poor boy, he is just too traumatised but I'm glad he can still see sense or shall I say, QX needs to continue knocking some sense. We can see that he definitely feels something for QX; however, at this point, his hate still overcomes whatever that feeling is. I'm like Sir you need a massage to relax.
4) Wei Shao's mother needs to chill a bit. I get her hate etc but can't she take a step back and shut up. She should spend her time learning her son's right shoe size than meddling into his marriage. And can someone kick Chuyu out of this household or marry her off whatever. I smell disaster from this biatch.
5) Lady Xu is very interesting and it shows that she is a smart woman so nowonder she didn't mind too much of this marriage. Guess, it takes a smart woman to notice another smart woman. Her and XQ handled that concubine shitshow with finesse.
6) Oh YanZhong state...sigh. Didn't they learn anything at all from gramps. Wow, so 14 years ago they forgo friendship and now they are betraying their own daughter. Wow, who needs enemies with a family like this....tsk tsk tsk
7) I'm rooting foe Bi Zhi and the Qiao big sister over here. Please writers don't kill them 🙏🏽. We need at least 1 normal lovely relationship.
8) My MVP is Xiao Tao....how can someone be this adorable 😍 ❤️

This gal can act, her facial expressions especially eyes will tell a thousand words. And for that she's got my respect. These days they aren't many good actors, so I appreciate talent when I see one.

Honestly I really do not remember reading that scene in the novel at all. But I get the context. So basically that play WH sort of mirrors Fei Du's life so it kind of freaks out WZ cause he is wondering if that was a message from the mastermind or what. And if so what danger could come to Fei Du etc.

Actually, I'm kinda the opposite. I read the novel and equally enjoying the drama too. Yes, I do fill in the gaps in my head but I highly doubt I would have enjoyed the drama if I had not read the novel first. Guess it just depends with the person 🤷
