Very sad latest ep. Not gonna lie, I feel like they didn't do that explosion scene justice cause in the book, woah it was baaad. Basically Fei Du pushed WZ away to the side and took cover behind his car door. He thought since his car was like bullet proof??? etc, it may not be hugely affected. But the impact from the explosion cause the door to hit him hard and he flew off to the ground. He was banged up really bad that he is definitely God's favourite child to not die from that. Or shall I say WZ's voice brought him back from the brink.....awww, now I'm swooning...heheh Okay, Now my main anticipated scene is coming.....Wei Zhao's parents arrival. And drama, don't you dare deprive me of that....
Reading comments, I see Min Jun is insecure, lacks confidence, has low self esteem etc...but are you telling me Jin Hwan's actions were soooo perfect, he did nothing wrong...hmmm, I beg to differ. From my observation, JH was too close to his friend and if this fact was established when JH and MJ were already in a relationship and built a strong foundation, I don't think MJ would have reacted that way. But what triggered this reaction was e.g. that first date...1)they go on a picnic 2) during their date, bestie calls and asks JH if he can come (hmm sir, weren't you the one who shielded him earlier to allow him have his alone time) 3) MJ gives in to meet the gang cause it seems JH wants to go 4) JH sits inbetween bestie and MJ 5) JH and bestie are whispering whatever and really close 6) Inteovert MJ is uncomfortable cause he doesn't know these friends and the boy he likes seem to pay more attention to bestie 7) MJ goes to toilet, comes back and the boy he likes and his bestie are outside, looking very close and again, chatting. 8) MJ goes home and send a msge to JH but no answer. So after all this, isn't it normal to feel insecure, lack confidence etc. Yeah yeah yeah, MJ should have addressed it etc. But my point os Ji Hwan is no saint in all this. P.S. I still think JH's friend likes/d him...sue me....hehe
This latest ep. just explains why I have been struggling to warm up to Xiao Zhou. XZ is self absorbed and whether it's intentional or not, the problem is he lacks awareness on how that trait impacts those around him especially loved one. His initial reaction to Wu Ya's "let's break up" tells that XZ thought that she will always be there. Hence while he focuses on him and him alone, she will always be there to support him. That constant need of reassurance can be very exhausting and boi I felt it each time, he was like "I need you" "At least I have you" etc. Like, okay but what about Wu Ya. Why is it he is constantly leaning on her to an extent that there is nomore breathing space. XZ needs to learn and change and maybe it's good he met Man Li who wakes him up to reality cause boi, I wonder which planet he is from. And nope, I still don't ship him with ManLi AT ALL! My only pet peeve was how Wu Ya, just break things without explaining anything cause I really wanted her to dish it out...Alas, my gal chose peace exit. Btw, why do I see some resemblance between Man Li's ex-douch-hubby and Xiao Zhou. Like they are both nerds but also daft. The only difference is one (XZ) is loyal to himself to a fault whilst the other (ex-douche) is loyal to anything/one that dangles a candy saying "well done"....tsk tsk
Yeah WY and XZ are not right for eachother and don't these writers dare to reunite them when XZ has made it....like the saying goes...If you cannot accept me at my worst, you do not deserve me at my best. Wu Ya though, tried her best and it's time to go seperate ways. Nonetheless, I do not ship the leads and would prefer it they remain a bickering platonic friends. Also, don't think ML and XZ are suitable for eachother so hope the writer doesn't go there. For once I want Man Li to have someone (if she choose to) who appericiates her brilliance, dotes on and care for her. My girl deserves ultimate devotion and to be treated like a queen she is. My personal fav. Character so far after Man Li ofc is her Son.

Omg! Ep 13 was just hard to watch. I mean reading the novel and imagining Fei Du strapped on that chair zapping himself was one hard thing but actually seeing it watered my eyes. This boy went through so much and it seems, his mom's death and his psycho dad still torments him till now. If you may ask when WZ realised he is in love with Fei Du, I would say in this ep. Well, it wasn't shown but the scene when Fei Du answered the phone from WZ telling him HuangXi had died, WZ asked him to wait, he is coming to him. All WZ wanted in that moment was to see Fei Du and that's also when he realised how much he means to him. Another little detail is, he arrives wearing a jacket cause he didn't want to scare Fei Du and homeboi took care of him at that house with a messed up hand. Alas, we shall never see these scenes but at least my imagination can fill in the blanks. My only pet peeve so far is, couldn't they have found guest role characters who can ACT! Like watching that Zhou brother wailing without a drop of a tear (his eyes were dryer than the desert) was just sooo cringe. OMG I HATE THE ENDING!!!! Like if you really want to lower the bar for me...well, just give me this type of ending. I'm glad I paused cause now I don't need to waste my time anymore. Bad things aside...I have enjoyed Yuan Zhong character soooo much. I haven't resonated with a character like this in a while. At times it felt like he spoke my thoughts and I was mindblown. I definitely see a bit of myself in him...maybe not that extreme but definitely certain parts. LXY really mastered this character and bravo, he very well delivered 👏 I got what I expected from Tiffany Tang but oh my, she is aging sooo beautifully backwards. All in all, without the ending I would definitely rank this highly.
What a fun ride we had and kuddos to the writers for keeping our couple together nomatter what. Guess the message besides the obvious is, when you're in a relationship, you can work through your difficulties and not just easily quit. Sadly this has become rocket science nowadays. Anywho, I commend HY's tenacity and brilliance. That last show was exquisite and anything with nature theme is just my jam. She definitely got it from her aunty. Also, I gotta give it to the men in this drama who love hard if not the hardest. Like wow, JF and XM are a rare breed indeed and niece and aunty are trully blessed. Now that My Guilty Pleasure has finished, what am I going to do 😢
