Like if you really want to lower the bar for me...well, just give me this type of ending. I'm glad I paused cause now I don't need to waste my time anymore.
Bad things aside...I have enjoyed Yuan Zhong character soooo much. I haven't resonated with a character like this in a while. At times it felt like he spoke my thoughts and I was mindblown. I definitely see a bit of myself in him...maybe not that extreme but definitely certain parts. LXY really mastered this character and bravo, he very well delivered 👏
I got what I expected from Tiffany Tang but oh my, she is aging sooo beautifully backwards.
All in all, without the ending I would definitely rank this highly.

What a fun ride we had and kuddos to the writers for keeping our couple together nomatter what. Guess the message besides the obvious is, when you're in a relationship, you can work through your difficulties and not just easily quit. Sadly this has become rocket science nowadays. Anywho, I commend HY's tenacity and brilliance. That last show was exquisite and anything with nature theme is just my jam. She definitely got it from her aunty. Also, I gotta give it to the men in this drama who love hard if not the hardest. Like wow, JF and XM are a rare breed indeed and niece and aunty are trully blessed.
Now that My Guilty Pleasure has finished, what am I going to do 😢

I think the most disappointing thing for Yuan Zhong is him thinking she was hanging around with him to take off the whatever hand when he dies. And that I think to him will upset him the most since he would question everything else she has done. Also, depending on the messenger for this news, the result might be different.

Yuan Zhong should be called the King of Deadpan cause his comebacks are just epic. I love his exchange with Tan Yin when she asked why he is nolonger chasing her away and he was like...well, you saved me so I can't chase you away and TY was like, well I have saved you before but you were driving me away and YZ was like...okay you can go away now....LOL
It's the straight face when he says these things that just cracks me up.
Tan Yin is such an idealist and likes to see the good in everyone but when it comes to QL, she needs to mind her own business. Like how can you save time and time again the very person who is trying to kill the person you want to protect....like the math ain't mathing...hehe
I like that we don't have a significant love triangle here and the romance is a very very slow burn so when our OTP finally get together, hopefully we don't get breakups etc.

Yeah Yaun Zhong is done with humanity so now he wants to raise his own mighty army to pretty much destroy the world in the name of cleansing sins. Nowonder Tan Yin has to be by his side because our boy is unhinged so she will need to pull him back to sanity. Like in that scene where he has a breakdown, I really feel for him....and that scene was impeccably executed by LXY.
Oh my heart goes out to PJ/LC and the Inn Lady. They trully love eachother and even though the latter claim to not remember (liar) etc, you can totally see how heartbroken he is. I guess they are not meant for forever. Talk about which...why is there no chemistry between Tang Hua and Zhi Dai. Like I've tried to look but none and I thout at first, it's poor acting but no actually, individually the actors are okay. So overall, I guess their arch is not that engaging hence no chemistry...sigh, I don't know. Even Pei Ji and Inn lady whom we have seen for a bit have much better chemistry than them.
Anywho...

Well, I thought so too but the thing is, It was the production company that gave it so much credibility. Suddenly, MDL rating became Rotten Tomatoes. So whilst me and you wouldn't, some people out there take reviews seriously 😐

I never watched The First Frost but from the trailer I could sense her character to be very bland and draining...

I went guns blazing on 2nd ML, only to come back swooning. Like this is how you resolve these stupid love triangles...we don't need drama, just a punch and alcohol and we are good...hehe
So the real villain is the aunt 🤔 🙄 Honestly what is wrong with this woman. All I can think of is, she needs to get laid ASAP...maybe all that pent-up anger will go away. And she doesn't even need to look further or Tinder because some model/bar owner/tender is ready anytime. So respectfully Mam, just go ahead.

About MDL rating...I was so shocked to see the power of ratings here. I thought this was just for fun.... And then, I saw an MDL rating for The First Frost being advertised which was seen by all. And that's my concern which is some thoughtless rating of a drama being hold with such importance and have that impacting the audience.

I think the problem is when he finally started to warm up and fall for her, something else about her came up which resurrected his suspicions. So to Yuan Zhong, it doesn't matter how many good deeds you do, if he smell anything suspicious about you, then all is forgotten. I guess it's his fear of betrayal that is too big so this is his defense and coping mechanism.
