Hang on a sec...I thought this was about a serial murder case etc... Finished 2 eps and so far no murder so am I missing something ๐ I don't know why but I find these ex lovers plot too melodramatic for my liking except ofc if it's done in a fun way. So far everything feels depressing and that's really not what I need right now. On another note...So are you telling me with the good kissing skills Johnny Huang possess, he couldn't get this gal to kiss properly...Wow. It makes it a bit cringey when you see one of the main lead actually giving his all whilst the other have her lips glued together... hehehe Anywho, I might have to wait it out on this one.... P.S. Johny Huang looks exactly like my uncle...like a doppelganger. So each time I'm about to swoon, my uncle comes to mind and I cringe.....LOL. I have a dilema hahahah
Honestly this weekโs episodes broke my heart a little. Iโm appreciating the approach of broaching both sides…
Well in the novel, Kan confessed, went to prison for some years, returned, Tew was waiting for him and they reconciled etc. Not sure if the drama will take that route though
If Complicated was a person then Kan would be. Knowing what happened in the novel, all I can say, Wasan could never be me. No doubt Kan loves Thiu very much so I guess in that moment of panic, he thought, I can't let him find out about his mother...sigh. Not justifying his actions though. I knew all this is governed by Trauma because why oh why would one want to take such a burden of carrying all those souls with you forever. I could never. So seeing the flashback of everyone's past, it sort of makes sense. Watching this drama made me start thinking deep....sigh I just want at least a few scenes of our CP next ep. before everything unravel and ends....After all we went through, we deserve that right!
Pray that you never ever experience that time of pain, it can be very very destabilizing.
Say it louder! I remember when I was young my grandmother had an accident and got her leg amputated. So she became disabled. From then on, Hell fell on earth. At first she was depressed then she became abusive towards anyone. In the beginning, I watched everyone walking on eggshells around her many times...After all we all thought she is going through worse plus she had attempted self exiting so many times. Then a decade passed and she only became worse and I became older, I was like hang on a min, how long do we go on like this. Till to this day, my grandmother is the most unbearable human being I ever encountered. She literally said, if I cannot be happy then noone deserve to be happy and she lives to that 30 years later. So while watching this drama, I couldn't stop thinking about her and wonder if during that difficult time, Dr Kan had arrived to my grandmother, what choice would she make and how would we feel....etc. So like you said, it's easy to judge if you have never experienced such situation.
Hmmm, Zhang Bu You is trading through a dangerous ground with this vixen. Now that she has invited herself to his family home, how would he deal with that. To be honest I find his inability to assert boundaries especially with women off-putting. Then again, it seems he got it from his papa. That grandpa was all over that QingNian as soon as he saw flowers...huh I commend Wen Yue's calmness in all this (it couldn't be me) but then again I wonder if she puts up with her husband's antics because she trusts him that much or she doesn't really love him hence it doesn't bother her ๐ค.
People are forgetting this is a Tan Jianci drama. He is the MC. The story has to revolve around him. Jin Shijia…
I'm the very very Minority I guess, who likes Season 1 better than 2. I don't know, this season seems so foreign to ke that if not for the same character ls, I would thunk it's a standalone drama.
Well did you see the male lead in A Dream of Splendour....his stares would impregnant someone hehehe.
Ooooh you're in for a treat. If you're looking for the epitome of chemistry, sexual tension, those prolonged stares then this is definitely up your alley. The story falls flat towards the end but at least we have visuals to feed our eyes.
Okay let's get over the fluffy fluff and go back to the angst. I just miss the push and pull between the bad guys and our leads. This is the first time in a while I'm so invested in the main story more than the romance of the leads. I already miss her stepmom...hehehe
Who is the main villain....? Is it the empress......?
It looks like the Grand Princess. Cause remember the uncle got a letter saying that let them get married as it will be useful long-term and he immediately listened. I think the grand princess is the only one who can make him agree. Just my speculation though. Oh another thing, in the 1st ep. when SM wanted to kill the crown prince thinking he is the one who plotted against his uncle, the C prince denied it. So I feel the one who remains would be the grand princess or maybe empress.
watched till 4 episode and the only thing i want to say is season 1 is far better than this ... 2nd case is more…
Oh Finally someone I agree with...I also will stop now. I found what was so appealing about Season 1 was the simplicity and groundedness of the cases. My first impression of this season is it looks like theh are doing too much. I don't like the easthetic especially colour gradient. The whole everything is yellow, brown golden looking makes it look so fake. The only good thing so far is all the actors came back for season 2. And that's about it. Then again, I'm biased because Season 1 was just something magnificent. This reminds me of the saying that When money chnages hands, the value is different. And in this case, when the srcipt changes writers, the feeling is different.
Okay, my fantasy did not include Tor in a BL drama (this part, Yes ๐) as a serial killer....So writer, you better come with a plot twist otherwise ๐คจ This reminds me of Manner of Death and thats a good thing. After Midnight Museum, I have been wishing for Tor to be in a BL...so I'm ecstatic, my prayers are answered. He is that good of an actor. I have followed his dramas for a while and I'm not disappointed so far. Talk about the drama...it's everything I thought it would be and call me intrigued... If "I don't trust you" was a face then Wasan's face would be it. I couldn't stop chuckling each time he meets Kan. And Kan...oh boi, he is literally ticking every point in the book, How to be suspect number 1...huh
@Tkcjt KQ is struggling to come to terms that overnight her biological father just appear in front of her and…
Well, yeah definitely we don't expect her to run around calling him dad all of a sudden and I don't ecpect full open arm embrace either. I said luttle warmth but more so curiosity. Such as, how come he hasn't aged, so what happened and since she had that flashback, you would think she would want to know more. Above all what was my mother like. I just thought her indifference or lack of all I mentioned was strange. Ofc my opinion
Actually watching this drama made me think of another drama that had adoption side story (Virtuous Business kdrama). In this one, I'm actually shuddering for the thought that his daughter was raised by a serial sadistic murderer who also might just be the killer of her real mother (yeah I bet). I feel for Kaiqing when she finds who her beloved father is. Also, I felt some time of way by her indifference towards her real father (most past) that I felt sorry for him. I know she only knows her adopted parents but couldn't she have shown a little warmth and curiosity towards Jiajie after he told her ๐ค๐ค๐ค Her love and devotion towards her adopted parents is like nowhere near what was in Virtuous Business. The irony is in the latter, it appears the adopted parents were actually good people and he was raised with love and yet he yearned for his real mother that you would think he grew up at the orphanage. Two complete different drama and both show adoption in a very interesting way.
Wow, finally all caught up and I really love this. I definitely need to give William his flowers for his performance cause, I'm convinced he is a man from the 90's in desperate search for the truth and his family. But the best performance goes to the guy with mental illness. Like, woah, he blew my mind that I didn't want to see his end. I felt like he was taunting me too hehehe...especially the part when Jaijie is anxiously asking him to spit it out the name...I was also frustrated even though we know who it is. He is a really good actor. I can't help but to feel sorry for him because after all, he is vulnerable and somebody exploited him...sigh
yes she is the resentful woman. but she used to be a kind woman and there's a story behind it why she turned into…
The auntie tries to kill ML because she blames him for his mother's death. But she finally came to her senses and saved him. I wouldn't call her evil perse but just hurting. I think she appears in about 2/3 eps.
