Ling Xiao goes to Singapore to take care of his bedridden mother. She ends up hiding his passport and repeatedly…
Omg, I just felt tears whilst reading your comment. These boys suffered and I can't imagine the mysery. Guess, we are in for a tearjerking but healing journey. I just need more tissues.
barely watched 7 episodes and already teared up at least at 4 episodes... Am I too emotional? :D
Nope, I'm crying on each ep. as well plus the beginning song plus the trailer...so when it comes to emotions, I'm way ahead of you....sigh I watched an ep. at work, started crying and everyone came apologising thinkinf they had said something wrong to me...hehe
Omg, I'm experiencing the worst thing ever and that's watching this drama before it finishes airing...It's extremely good that I just want another ep and another in one go.....sigh... When I finish an ep. I wish to delay time so it doesn't finish. I wanted to give a double slap to the 3 generation of bad women in Ling Xiao's life and now I want to punch Zi Qui's jerka** wannabe father. These people are awful like really bad...haaa. And they always choose the worst time to barge into these boys lives...I mean you come to disrupt them when they are in their finals, a time they should be concerntrating with their studies..WTH...they are the worst. And now I'm intruiged on how LX and ZQ eventually chose these pompous awful so called biological parents. I have grown too attached to the dads (well maybe because I don't have one) that if anything ever happen to any one of them....I swear..... Operation Protect The Dads
One of my favourite pairing is back and in a Modern drama...Yeah Story of Yanxi Palace is one of those rare gems that I watched from back to back with no break and Rewatched it again...huh I have no doubt that I will like this couple again here but hope the story is good enough. I'm already intrigued with how these two with seemingly different lifestyles (one is already married and expecting) will come together.
So I cried when I watched the trailer, then cried again at the beginning song when I wanted to watch first ep. Then enjoyed 1st ep. knowing I'm going to cry again somewhere down the line. By the looks of things, I'm turning into crybaby, in a good way...hehe And that's how fantastic this drama is. It's very grounded and realistic that I find myself relating to all 3 characters and with love for the amazing 2 dads. I love the reversal in this, from our leads ages reversed (the oldest in real life is the youngest whilst the youngest in RL is oldest) to the dads being the amazing ones compared to usually the moms being the good ones. So China can produce great dramas after all (no pun intended) and this is a rare gem. Honestly, I didn't want any romance especially if it turns out both brothers like her but alas, let it come, I need to tear-swoon from time to time. LASTLY PLEASE EVERYONE WATCH THIS AMAZING DRAMA....
To watch or Not= Still deciding I saw the FL in Ever Night (I think) and I actually thought she has potential. But is her potential enough to be the Lead? well that remains to be seen. I personally have a pet peeve with these pretty/cute actors with no acting experience whatsoever as being Leads, just because of appearance or popularity/connections. I just find it disrespectful to actors who actually goes to acting school to learn their craft, work their way up until they master their skills. With all that effort, I dislike it when these young inexperienced idols just barge in and become Leads. Not to say, every actor has to go to acting school because some are just naturals but even with that, continuing to learn about it is still useful. Ofc, my opinion.....Enough said. I might watch first few ep. to see what's up.
I like this Pairing...Like Really Really Like Them... Maybe it's either Shen Yue's infectious Skile or Jerry Yan's Abs or Both that has blind me but I'm really enjoying their scenes.
Twenty your life on is that drama you don't think you will like and end up Need. As I'm nearly the end of my 20's I have been looking back and reflecting on my life as I started my 20's life. And this drama is that mirror I need. It's so much fun watching these girls lives and having an OMG, I did that too. Also a little sad when there are scenes that reminds me of what I missed or what I could have done differently. Overall I watched this drama with a nostalgic feeling of my own 20's life on experience. Now Let me delve into Nothing But Thirty and have a feel of the 30's life.
I'm supposed to enjoy this the same way I did the first one right...after all the main leads are the same. But I'm not, it feels different and boring. Maybe something is wrong with me?
I enjoyed it! Both the leads are pretty good! Why make such a big deal out of Age Gap?
Actually it's quite uncommon for these age gaps in dramaworld...I did a double take when I saw this pairing because I remember Jerry Yan from way back when (watched his first few dramas) and saw SY as a kid born yesterday, hence I was taken aback. Buuut like what they say, even though first impression may not be great, it's not everything. So when I saw the trailer, I just fell for them, I don't know but something about them is interesting and I didn't think of the age gap at all. Also I love anything unconventional...I like, defy conventional everything.
the Trailer is Impressive...The fight scenes looks so well choreographed. Zhao Liying's fierce, determination and peserverence look in the trailer reminds me of her character in Princess Agents ( I'm still salty about PA ending btw). And I heard she does her stunts...she is one strong woman. And our dear Wang Yibo can't do no wrong especially those facial expressions and fight scenes (I have never scene someone who maintains a great posture in fight scenes like him before, ever in Cdramas) I wonder when this is coming out? I'm impatiently waiting.
I hope they will not let the leads see eachother in a romantic way since the FL character resembles his mother (in another world) because that will be taking Mommy issues to a whole new level....which I'm not ready for....and don't want to imagine I can only take it if the ML is hellbent on protecting his mother (well the lookalike) and vice-versa. Other than that relationship, it will just be creepy.
The trailer brought me here and I might give it a try for one vain reason only and that's Zheng Ye Cheng, who is looking smouldering in that period attire (is that what its called)... Well, I don't say this often but this boy is getting hotter and hotter...and his acting is getting better and better. So will see :)
This drama is like the best Cdrama I'm watching right now (well I'm experiencing drama drought so there is that).... I have been a loyal fan of Zhu Yilong but now I have a massive crush plus obsession with him. This man can act like woah...I'm in awe by his acting each time and it keeps getting better. In this series he embodies Wu Xie with everything he's got that I forget the other Wu Xies. That's how great he is. And because I've got obsessed, I have stalked all his interviews and dare I say he has the sweetest personality ever (shy, quiet, deep thinker)...the irony is, he said he doesn't have a personality..meaning he is boring. And that's actually charming. Enough gushing...But really You should definitely watch this series. Everyone is doing a fantastic job.
Another fluffy c-drama recommendation: CHEF HUA (2020), on YouTube. Food porn costume romance. Girl wants to be…
Oh been there watched it... That drama gave me foodgasm from start to end? It made me want to cook and God knows I tried and failed. Alas, I'm in love with yhe simplicity of that drama and the picturesque village. Thank you though.

Nope bye.
