It's a HAPPY ENDING, Yeahhh So breaking down the last minutes in last ep.: It appears everything that happened was in her previous life and it came to her as a dream...We pretty much watched 30 ep. of her dream.hehe...Usually I'm like WTF writers but somehow I just let it slide in this considering what happens afterwards. I like that the reborn princess is ZLS. And the princess tries to correct some things such as treating her cousin with more respect and kindness (not yhat she wasn't before) and helping the 2nd leads to meet and fall for eachother from the start. Although I'm not sure about the concept of the painting but I remember FJY saying it is his resting place so it befits that he pulls her into it when she saw him (again a little confusing) Poor prince, he still has no chance with QC from previous to current life..huh
The best thing about this drama and probably what will make you watch till the end is the Main leads' palpable Chemistry. Also what helps is the main leads relationship is part of the main plot so the plot doesn't get too boring. ZLS and ZYC are so comfortable with eachother that they create this organic very natural connection onscreen and yeah, I often forget that ZYC is quite shy in real life. Talking about acting, Fu Jiu Yun is the star of the show, the acting is top notch. You can see his sadness, happiness, yearning, love, loneliness and even illness in his eyes. ZYC trully surprised me, and OMG that voice needs to be trademarked...the way he say her name...wow. It's even better that it's just a 30 ep. Drama so the story doesn't drag. My one and only pet peeve is the whole situation with face swap. So I had made peace with face swap right, but they kept on bringing flashbacks of previous her/face one after the other that it was distracting (sometimes relevant but most not really). Whenever I start to warm up with the idea of ZLS being princess, I see that other princess...really writers (well it doesn't help that the actress that plays the prev. princess was soo good and likeable). They could have also balanced it by showing a flashback with her sifu after the swap thus QC. Anywho...I had to separate them and see ZLS's current character as is but also a princess.... But overall good drama and I will definitely rewatch it only to hear FJY calling Qin Chuan....Hmm Can that voice be my Alarm ⏰
Did you read the Novel? Is there any English translation for it to read? I was so upset when Tang started to show…
I have read few chapters using Google translate...it's actually easy to understand. If they follow the novel, the gal in red will not be Tang's main love but I'm not sure in the drama as it's China and censorship after all. Anyway I still doubt that Tang's interest in the girl will develop any further because SZ warned him to cut all communication. Apparently some time ago, that girl's country/tribe was involved in a war with their nation which killed many people (remember SZ's nightmares in ep.1) so SZ hates them. Sorry for not giving you a clear answer.
is there any romance in drama? if there is i am not watching .if they not allow bl then i want pure bromance.......
From the 12 ep I have watched it's very much Bromance (the 3 leads' chemistry is magical) based but honestly I'm still hoping to see those subtle hints of BL (a gal can only wish and if I'm not delulu, I think I have seen those subtle hints, haha). Now about Romance...well if they follow the novel then there shouldn't be I think. But so far there is this gal in red who has some interactions with ML (mostly comedy) and he starts to see her in a different light... whether that's just it or more, we don't know yet. I don't think so and ep 12 will give you an answer why. Hope that answers your ques.
When I heard drama, BL adaptation, Jackie Chan in the same line my immediate reaction was Oh Oh... (lol I don't know why) So I went on to start reading the novel first, but then I thought to just watch a few ep. to see what it is all about. Omg, to my surprise...this is my new addiction. Woah it's so freaking good, perfect even. The story, pace, actors, cinematography, directing.....everything just makes you want to keep watching. This is going to be a Joy Ride Everyone!
Absolutely! I nearly made a mistake to drop it after a few ep. but I'm glad I didn't. It's not the best drama but not the worst either. The ML's facial expressions are to die for...he is so much fun to watch. But my favourite is FL, actually I didn't think much of her in the beginning but she showed a glimpse of cleverness, then I liked her. But then somehow a certain situation changed her to be this docile damsel in distress and it was so frustrating (that's when I nearly drop it). However another situation changes her and she becomes so much better and mostly independent (thanks to ML's harsh treatment). But the second couple are so freaking annoying (honestly I fast forward their part). Overall the story and the Main characters are not bad at all. I would say give it a chance but don't quit because of FL as she will have character growth.
I wonder if it is easy to understand the Male Lead's acting skills for non-Chinese speaker. He is a good actor…
Thank you for clarity especially about their many lives entanglement. I had been confused about how he is so in love with her as if he already knew her for a very long time. Oh and I completely understand the ML character which I adore. I like that he has managed to be flirty which is true to jis womanising character and yet not pervy or abusive.
can anyone explain to me fu jiu yun's true identity? I'm sort of confused, is he part of the sacred lamp? because…
FJY's blood and the sacred lamp are the key to barnish all demons; basically drop his blood on the lamp and some magic happens that will destroy all demons. The problem is the process will also kill FJY which is why when he realised that QC is after the lamp, he was concerned because it seems he knows the consequences. The concept seems to set us up for a sad ending but I read somewhere that it might be a happy ending . Because QC also choose to perish with FJY but the heavens/gods felt pity for both and let them live. But don't quote me, it's not certain.
Started this drama out of boredom and I'm pleasantly surprised hence staying (up to ep.8 ). Okay, why did they have to replace the Princess with ZLS in the name of face-swap. That was sloppy writing; it's like the writer was indecisive on what to do with the FL character...tsk tsk. What's keeping me is the ML and he is absolutely adorable. What makes his character stand out is that he is not pushy to the one he loves to love him back. His patience and understanding is what the FL (hey me too) needs considering her circumstances. He has the right balance: he is flirty but not excessive, he yearn for her love but he is not moppey, he knows when to jump in and not to, in FL's business. His character is really pleasant and very soon the FL will be hypnotised. It's good to see how the boy from LOVE O2O has grown.
One thing I learned in this drama is not to Put Pressures of Life onto someone else. I can't help but to think that what DH's brothers said about not quiting his job, forgiving his wife and his mother's expectations always had an impact on him whenever he needed to make a choice/decision. I I honestly disliked the way, they just told him do this, and that. Nobody asked him about his feelings towards his job, wife after she cheated etc. or just simply Are you Happy? I will support any decision you make etc. And the worst thing is, the family may thought that it was love therefore not realising how it was affecting DH in his life choices...sigh No wonder my mom always say, Do What Makes You Happy and I'm happy! See, no pressure...Love You Mom
I really liked this drama, It was so raw. It's depiction of every day-to-day reality for most people can easily…
You have said it All... After that meeting at the end, I can now see two emotionally recovered adults who maybe ready to take a chance on Love. They both had time apart to heal, get to know themselves better and I can see them having something worthwhile (whatever that may be) Yeah, I still hated the wife from start to finish. As you said, the problem is she started to say sorry after she realised she had been duped. So if she had not found out, then she would still be having an affair and planning to divorce the hubby. He was by far not the best husband but she was the worst wife. So no Sympathy.
I always watch anything that has our girl Janice Wu...she is such a pure joy to watch. Oh and I like the male lead, very impressive actor (he is in this amazing period drama, Youth.... and his acting was perfect) My pet peeve is I can't help but to think 45ep. will be full of silly cliche overused stuff: love tri/quadangles, disapproving parents, misunderstandings, On top of the main plot. Yeah I will let this one run it's course then I will watch it with a lot of Fast forward.
