Say it Louder.... I have literally lost interest in a lot of current KDramas and no, its not us its the dramas like you said. For me, everything matters but then chemistry does make up for a lot (e.g Abyss). My pet peeve is when they put popular actors, a filler story and lots of cameos for ratings. Currently I'm getting my warm and fuzzy moments with Chinese and Thai (BL) dramas. As for KDramas, I will wait for what's worth watching; I'm sure there will.
Honestly I stumbled upon this gem whilst looking for Eternal Love 3 (upcoming) and now I'm staying. I'm probably one of the few who didn't watch TMOPB (yeah not for me) so I was sceptical at first. And oh my, was I wrong! It's really a beautiful story and both leads have amazing chemistry. I found myself rooting for F from the get go; her harmless love is so sweet. And the Bai family is full of Hotties, OMG! Those uncles and cousins etc, wow...Are we gonna go back to the immortal realm, I mean to them again (miss them already, huh) Yep, I will probably stay and wait to see their white hair baby (it's in the teaser). Is it too late to wish if this drama stays this light, grounded and less drama (well a drama without drama) especially from jealousy b***???? Sigh
I don’t think Ling Long is evil despite her working for Xiao Xiao’s father. I am curious about her back story.
Oh it seems like Ling Ling is an obsession of that guy who is being held captive by XX's evil dad....I saw a glimps when he was thinking and I swear, I thought I saw Ling Long. Also it seems LL is looking for someone (a man). If so, it's more interesting because I wonder if LL is also a spirit or rather has she lived through time as well???? Honestly, I thought I was going to dislike her character but she is not bad so far.
Usually I am all chill when it comes to age gaps but ... Irenie does not even look her age! These two together…
Exactly my first thoughts when I saw the leads....Ireine Song is ageless, has a small face and tiny frame so ML will look like a giant uncle next to her, sigh. I remember having the same feeling about Journey of Flower but it somehow worked out in the end, so who knows.
Omg! SS and NQ are MARRIED and yep, they consumated their marriage (why do I feel some type of way writing this). Anyhoo, Fuzi gave me a little chuckle when he was celebrating whilst the couple are doing coupling stuff (again I'm finding it hard to imagine these two and inserting my dirty imagination, sigh) hahaha!
I kinda liked how Fuzi slide in MSS during his chat with NQ because, I definitely agree; he needs to sort himself out with her (not that dream/illusion the Head set up)...after all he is a married man (wouldn't want him to continue drooling whenever he sees her, would we) After seeing what that West Shiling did (that dragon thingy), now tell me, who is darker???,....these red robe people needs to be quarantined and YH needs to make up her damn mind or else perish with them. For once LQ is using his brain and I'm actually enjoying his villainy way of doing things (exciting actually) POOR SANG SANG, sigh
Anyone else watched ep. 5 with angsty and exasperation like me??? Where do I even begin... Ok, So since prev ep., I'm still getting my head around how Master QS just handover that bell to a noname, little cultivation monk to return it at a crucial time....I mean did he really think that bell will arrive safely (for someone clever as him, that's a dumb move) Ep. 5 - That whatever festival induced my anxiety. I was screaming like "NQ stop the bragging nonsense and turn the f** around to SS!"....Priorities geez And the Master QS went on a lecture about how SS is really the daughter of darkness...I was like, "ok that's enough, shut up now". It's like he is setting up SS to be killed.....sigh this old man. Finally I don't know what it is but I found myself wondering how AC would have done it, especially after discovering SS's identity. There was something about AC - NQ eyes that was so expressive and I didn't see it in DW. No offense to the actor (I'm sure he's doing his best) but I was expecting more on the emotion side... I disliked the use of CGI in that fight because it took away the natural feel of a fight that was in season 1 (remember that desert first scene anyone in S1) Also because I read the book so I feel let down a little on that fight scene...in the book, it's epic.
Never have I been happy for the use of CGI until ep. 3 when SS closes that carriage door when MSS appears....it's like B*** bye lol. CGI gave SS an attitude and I'm grateful.
The excitement for Ever Night 2 is Real people. So just came from watching ep. 1 and 2, so here is my 2 cents:
First thing first- I love that things just takes of where it stopped and the Focus is on Sang Sang (SYR is still amazing). I actually liked the fact they did that recap where they replaced AC with DW because it kind of helped me to imagine him as NQ before and now and to just connect the story from 1 to 2 ( risky move but not bad). Of course, AC as NQ is the ultimate bias and favourite but for the storyline sake and us viewers I understand why the writers did that. Ok, putting aside my grudge of changing the ML, I was quite pleasantly surprised by Dylan Wang. I still have this "he is acting" feeling but I have no doubt he will fully become NQ in few ep. The chemistry between the leads is naturally there (I was squealing on that scene where SS was quizzing NQ on his past conquest = adorable) Who knew I would be enjoying Long Qi huh...he is the true definition of "Knock me down and I will come back up" ...Can't wait for his final downfall. Pipi is still adorable and the Headmaster still loves to eat Oh LH is back and fabulous...I actually like the replacement. She has some character and attitude to her, rooting for her (danm she cleaned house pretty fast) Ok, I thought I didn't care about the royal monarchy, but I actually do. They literally replaced everyone ( except that bratty prince) and what's up with that King character. Too much misplaced ego that is (sigh). Something doesn't feel right with his character. The previous King had this calm and restrained aura to him and this one, well... let's wait and see. Enough Said...
I started this Drama for Jin Dong (he is just an incredible actor+hot) but Lyric Lan stole my heart and now I'm continuing to watch because of Dai Xi. After constantly being SALTY about the latter eps. (Li Na =eye-roll) I have grown to love and keeps getting surprised by Dai Xi. I could write paragraphs about how great her character is (excluding not letting Mai Fei go a little sooner) but I will just say she is One of the Phenomenal characters that is rarely shown in Chinese Drama. Actually of all the Cdramas I have watched she is probably the only Character I have found to have brains, beauty, empathy, strong-will, honesty and loving (oh & her voice is palatable) ....literally all in one. Yep, her character has certainly left an imprint.
I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that why Lina has more screen time with luo bin even though…
You're not the only one...Li Na annoys the hell out of me sometimes especially her nosy behaviour. If there was more story to her, maybe I would tolerate but right now she only has the catwalk. Oh and you will feel like skipping the eps. of her jealousy of La Hong. I actually didn't know the actress at all until this drama so don't know her popularity for her to be plastered in nearly every scene as a 2nd lead.
Omg, I can't believe this drama has actually sparked some intense debate (between me and my friends) about who can be your best partner in life. In this drama we have Li Na and Dai Xi for Luo bin. So we are divided...one hand says Li Na because she is a ride or die partner. The other thinks Dai Xi because she challenges him and keeps his marals in check. It just makes me think what kind of best partner one want or needs?
There is definitely some hints here and there, but nothing substantial yet. The dynamic is quite similar to Suits a US drama and in there the main leads were both males and had a brotherhood relationship. But since the other main lead is female in this one, I don't know how their relationship will evolve. I have watched up to ep.26 and there is one ep. where there is that chemistry and tension between the leads (it only lasted for a few mins) which could suggest something more in the future. On the other hand , there was a hint hint with the ML & secretary but now, there isn't much. Sigh...it's confusing In the US one ML had a thing with secretary and eventually got married. I doubt it will be like this in this one.
This is one of those dramas I actually wouldn't mind if it was longer. Alas 34 ep. is good too because it won't drag. I'm actually getting the Ever Night feels in this, like the revenge plot, journey of a boy to stardom and the relationships etc. Have not watched anything with Li Yitong because I have not been a fun of her/dubbed voice but I absolutely love her in this one (maybe I like her voice more). Kudos to the strong women in this including the cruel Queen who seem to be running this world with an iron fist and elegance. It seems the actor who plays the emperor finally got his wish of being EMPOROR. I mean he mainly takes evil roles with a quest to be an emporor, so I think they were like Here you Go, be emporor, your wish is granted.
I think I'm now team Pete for now, because Kao is really annoying me lately. The thing is, Pete's erratic and sometimes self-centered behaviour is transparent. He expresses his thoughts and feeling for all to see (good and bad) which is why it's easy to judge him. Now, what I dislike about Kao is his oblivious, passive attitude to things. We don't see the self-serving in him because it's embroidered with his calm and collected nature. I mean you're in a relationship with someone and you don't want anyone else to know including your family. Ok, you might need time because it's not easy but how much time considering you're not in this relationship alone. You promise your partner about not seeing someone but lies after that. Lie after lie. Kao doesn't express his thoughts and feelings and often tries to solve problems for everyone. I actually dislike that attitude because at the end it's to your own comfort and benefit.
Obviously, Sun Bo and Shih Gang will be happy together. But not can be said about Hao Ting and Xi Gu... well not…
My assumption is that Parents intercepted YSG whilst on his way to the store and had what they call heart to heart ( 4me, it's manipulation) for him to separate with HHT (probably offered to pay for his uni fees or something) . And I think YSG leaves without telling HHT anything about the parents but maybe another excuse ( or else HHT would never have allowed him to leave). But of course they will meet at the end. After all, they have "History". Just my Speculation.
I felt it as well when I saw the trailer. The male lead looks a bit older to be a high schooler which is a shame…
In the Chinese version the ML is an undergrad so still at university. That was my error, I thought they would follow the original where the ML was in high school to start with. Yeah, I'm curious as well as to how he survived with that evil uncle of his. Again in the original, he was living by himself but had a house that his father left for him. And also the uncle was still sending him money. I don't know in this one as they seem to be changing some bits.

I could not do anything after the last episode, so this has just brought me back. Thank you.
