If you're looking for a very relatable mature drama (a bit sensitive), then look no further. This drama talks about a broken marriage, the aftermath, mental health, recovery, confidence, business and support in a way that is so real and often less portrayed in Cdramas. What I love about it was how one main FL goes through so much mentally but overcame her struggles and became more stronger and confident (her journey is so emotional to watch). Everyone develop to become better and stronger. Also, I like that the writer did not just unite the two main characters just because they are the main or were married or they have a kid together. Rather, it was about who can stand beside eachother through thick and thin and support eachother. For me I loved Alisa so much (respect to her character)
So I found myself binge watching this drama ( up to ep 18) and dare I say, I quite like it. Yeah, it's not as good as the original but it has its merits. I like that they try to keep up with some of the modernity of today. Also our pairing has more screen time and skinship (those are the best moments actually) Oh and it's soo apparent that the FL likes the ML although it hasn't clock in yet (she even said she doesn't like the 2nd ML after a date) but she definitely knows the ML likes her. My pet peeve is that the cases are not very nuanced as in the original (a little petty if I say).
So I just went and marathoned the Kiss series and I can't help but to feel that Kao's mom already knows about him and Pete. Something about the way she looks at them tells me she knows about their relationship. She once fainted and that was the same time Pete and Kao were talking about their feelings in Kao's bedroom when the door was ajar. I think that's when she heard them and found out. My instinct tells me She definitely Knows!
Omg, it's here...Can't wait for subs Well IHYV is one of those dramas that will remain dear to my heart so hearing a remake was like an offense. Anyway I will give this a chance, because you never know. I know Stephen Qi will deliver but I'm not sure about the male lead. My pet peeve is that why did they have to change the 2nd male lead to make him all good looking, rich and polished +her boss??? (we have seen that type before=boring) The 2nd lead in the original was none of those things and yet he had his charm and we grew to hate and like him. I'm just worried that this will miss the mark in this (fingers crossed it won't)
Disappointed that they choose an actor who doesnt look younger than the female lead, he even looks older and I…
I felt it as well when I saw the trailer. The male lead looks a bit older to be a high schooler which is a shame and I'm not sure he will be able to pull off the emotional face that LJS magically did in the original. Alas, I'm gonna watch this with a fresh mind like you.
lets face it we already know it will never come close to the original but I will give it a go as i have enjoyed…
Yeah the original was one of a kind; nothing can compare. LBY and LJS took those roles and became those characters that nobody else can be like that. Nonetheless I love Stephy Qi, she has this spunky and quirky style that always standout and for this kind of drama, she is a good fit.
Pete and Kao are a classic example of a couple who end up break up over a little misunderstanding. They are in a relationship, so you would expect Kao to at least clue Pete in on his family situation (also don't like how Kao's mom just smiles and keep getting money from him) that will lead to continuing Non tutoring (he shouldn't have if he didn't make that promise). That way, if Pete continues to be too bitter against his tutoring (aka Non; seriously I can't hate him, I tried) then at least he deserves a boot. Kao seems to be someone who likes to maintain peace for everyone but the means sometimes can damage the intended peaceful end. Although, I didn't like Pete's immature jealous boyfriend attitude (I mean it's a turn off) at first, I would understand him if he gets mad when he finds out that Kao lied after that pinky promise. And again it's because of poor communication that's brewing. So if it takes Non for them to figure things out then I welcome Non.
"i JuSt WaNt To HeLp YoU rElAx"Tharn made unwanted sexual advances, for the 2nd time.Tharn triggered Type's trauma.Tharn…
No need to change your mind as you're absolutely correct. I completely agree with you. I mean it's so apparent that Type experienced a trauma (his behaviour and nightmares ) and yet Tharn is so driven by lust/obsession that makes him so oblivious/passive to what Type is going through. Type asked him to stop and he didn't, so if it's not assault, then I don't know what is. Type is definitely crying for help and Tharn is manipulating the situation to his own benefit (it's sick).
If you're tired of the heavy, stupid and cliché stuff in Chinese drama, and you just want the fluffy cutesy, then this is a drama for you. I was pleasantly surprised by this drama and to think I stumbled upon it by accident☺. The female lead's character is so mature in reasoning and that is nowhere near a bunch of FLs in Cdramas. I love love Song Mido's character. She meets a boy she likes (a celebrity at that) and she just straight up like him, with no care of what the world thinks. Even the 2nd leads and other haters' little meddling did not even affect her that much. And to think she is only 18/19 when she starts dating the 20something male lead (I learned a thing or 2). The level of respect, mutual understanding and open communication makes these two leads so adorable (respect). Their relationship is not perfect but I could see them going the distance even when the drama ends. There was no chracter to actually hate and you get to tolerate even the anmoying ones (maid and manager). I would give this one an 8.5 only because they could do better with the cinematography, styling and maybe polish the plot a little bit. Other than that, I will be repeating this one many more times. If you liked Boss and Me, Love O2o etc, you might like this one.
i love drama revenge! This is done so well! Jenny is such a powerful character, I'm looking forward to seeing…
Yes, Jenny and Sun Woo for the win I'm a sucker for noona romance and the unconventional. No offence but we have seen the Hyun Jin, Sun Woo type of romance one too many times.
This drama is a bunch of enjoyable confusion. You don't understand the story and yet you still stay glued to your tele to find out what's happening next. I quite like the relationships in this- there are neither romantic or kinship per se but a strong bond between people.
Just finished watching The Untamed and dare I say I feel empty now...what will I watch now... Have tried to start watching another period cdrama but I just dropped it...too soon right.. I'm going to miss the way Wuxie adorably call Lan zhan and the way Lan Zhan calls Wei Yong with his deep but soft and soothing voice.
Now that we are half way through and near the end of the flashbacks (my heart couldn't take anymore flashbacks) , I gotta say I pity Wangji more than Weiying . The latter says and act whilst the former mostly act and rarely says. Weiying thinks he can do practically anything if it's to save the weak. So he doesn't think through the consequences of the process. Whereas Wangji is more of a deep thinker and less likely to take a risky path. Explains why they are at odds right now. As much as I like Weiying esp what he stands for...if he had only listened to Wangji or take a minute to think about this dark path......maybe it would have changed that catastrophe tsk tsk.... Just my humble opinion...
I swear if eyes could talk then Weiying and Wangji''s dialogue would go like this: Wy: You're so handsome, I'm undressing you in my head right now Wj: I know but thanks Wy: I'm flirting with you Wj: Keep going Wy: I like you Lan Zhan Wj: You're annoying but I like that Wj: I love you Wei Ying Wy: luv you too Wj: I will always be by your side nomatter what Me: I'm dead...lol I have actually kept it cheesy and PG because those stares...Oh My Lord! says a whole lot more +18 stuff. Yeah just my little dirty imagination.
This drama has definitely found a special place in my heart (after Love o2o & Boss & Me). I'm utterly obsessed. Yang Zi is soo cute and I'm loving her character to the tee. She is book smart not street smart especially when it comes to love...sigh (my teen flashback right there)... And the male lead....omg he is soo handsome, that face and stare!...his voice is therapy... I'm like impatiently waiting for subs right now whilst powering through the Raw ep...hehe
