Oh dear Lordy! Hahaha. No wonder it’s so confusing! In fact when I was watching the earlier episodes I asked myself this “Wait a minute, who is Ling Zhi Sheng again? “ 😆😅 Why do they have so many names? So is his name LBY or LZS?

Totally agree with your points. Just wanted to add that for LBY and YS, yes they are constantly harassed by fan girls who swarm around them like ignorant flashy shallow flies. It is precisely this reason that makes CSS stand out like a trophy before their eyes. Here’s a young lady who is beautiful but don’t bother to doll up, immensely intelligent yet not academic, truly kind and genuine, independent and bold and who doesn’t care two hoots about these two men! I’d be intrigued and captivated by such a lady too if I were them! So novel and refreshing!

That would be really great! This is actually my first ZLS drama and I must say that I really like this ZLS and WL CP both reel and real! Their BTS clips are so funny and sweet. Would you say this is one of the best or the best ZLS CP?

Certainly it was the best WL CP as far as I know. But then I only know one other WL CP and that is the one in The Long Ballad. Not WL or D’s fault. It’s just that the script didn’t really focus much on the romance I felt.

Anyways do let me know of other better ZLS CP so that I can go check out the drama whilst in this waiting for new LLTG episodes void! Thanks!

Omg now it all makes sense! I thought he just wanted to make her hug him! But the whole scene seemed a bit awkward and the line （abt her having his life） that came after seemed random and hence somewhat cheesy! Thank you for the clarification!

Huo Budo , Young Gong, Zhang Jin, Liang QiuQi, Ali Si, Liang Zhou Mu, Huo Lou, Huo Bu, Brother A, Azhu, Quer, Huo Bu Xuan, etc etc and the list goes on….all these I got from just o from half a chapter. Also the English is strange. Not easy to understand. 😅

But I agree with what the rest said, he mentioned it either as a distraction to take her mind off the matter that made her cry or as a lure to find out the truth. Looked like it kind of worked. When she blurted out teach me self defence and what if you are not around to protect me LBY made a brief facial expression that probably read “oh I see, someone bullied you physically”

That’s what I saw in some random YouTube video. Hahaha. The video explained that that’s why CSS turned her face away from him suddenly. She needed to curb her urges. 😆😆

Right after the tear jerking heart wrenching sobbing scene where NN cried so so hard in LBY’s arms, why did LBY suddenly decide to teach her some pressure points? So random and irrelevant! 😆 NN shd have responded “Huh?? Pressure points? Now? Seriously?” 😆

1) When did LBY fall for CSS? Did he fall for her after just seeing her hand sticking out of the window of her carriage?

2) When did CSS fall for LBY? Was it when he rescued her from the fire? That’s the first time we see her look at a man in awe.

3) When did she realise she love LBY? Is it after he kissed her forehead or after QiQi straighten out her thoughts about LBY?

Why are there fishes all over this BTS video? Anyone knows the reason?

Hi ! I agree with everything you said except the part about the engagement party. I thought it was absolutely necessary for LBY to bring in the entourage because:

1) this time it was his annoying step mom that had to be dealt with. Without this scene there may not be another chance to kick this dumb woman out of the drama;

2) I’ll never complain that there is too much putting down of that old RuYang empress. Hell that woman needs it! The first face off with YueFei didn’t damper that old hag’s arrogance and bitchyness one bit! This time she’s kicked into a nunnery so that shd be the end of her ruckus! And best of all the poor old jolly hubby gets to separate from her at long last!

3) LBY being so dearly loved and highly regarded by the Emperor and Empress would have invited them to this engagement anyway. He must! Or else he’ll be viewed as an ingrate! So the confrontation with the 2 crazy bitches would’ve been unavoidable anyway.

But I totally agree with you that watching Qiqi & Mommy kickass is oh so satisfying. They shdve allowed more more screen time there and then zoom into NNs face expressing touched loving revelation of her mommy’s love and protection towards her. Yeah it actually bugs me that this silly NN still misunderstands her mom’s feelings towards her own daughter. Of course mommy bares the bulk of the blame but it’s just so heartbreaking to see her so hurt by this and always yearning for mommy’s love. It’s there girl! Open your eyes and heart!

I think that besides NN and her mom, Yue Fei is the coolest lady ever….at least so far for now. I hope she doesn’t turn into a villain later. But as much as I dislike 3rd princess I can’t help but feel Yue Fei is so harsh on her! Seriously insulting her all the time whether in pte or public! But she’s cool nonetheless.

I have to say that LBY’s self defence class is so lame…. If someone attacks you from behind you pull the assailant into your arms and into a tango stance. And if he retaliates you pin him down on the bed and press your whole body against his. Hahahaha Good thing our clever NN knows how to adapt these moves when used on the 5th prince otherwise I’ll have no courage to watch Ep 37 !

Hi ! I meant that LBY was not selfish vis-à-vis his revenge plans and his beloved NN. His plan was to eventually marry NN and live happily with her albeit from the perspective and expectations of a constantly warring general. That’s just a sorry fact of life then I guess if you’re a soldier or general. Even NN’s own parents risk their lives whenever they go into battle. And we all know that they and LBY do that to protect the whole nation at the risk even of abandoning their loved ones. I think that’s the epitome of unselfishness.

And as the show unfolds and NN’s character becomes more mature, you can see that she too appreciates this sacrifice.
