I liked it. Is it the best ever... no... Does it have some irrational soap opera points... yeah... But I still liked it. I even re-watch it occasionally.
Not everything needs to be an angst ridden melodrama. Sometimes you just want something sweet :)
Another thing people can't seem to grasp... this is actually an adaptation of a novel. So they have to decide whether to change things away from the novel or try to be true to the novel.
In short though...it doesn't deserve a 10...but the people rating it at 1 or 2 really make me question their motives. Maybe their expectations where too high from the start, or perhaps they were just having a bad day/week/month.
It's interesting though....for all the very vocal people who post how much they hate it or that they dropped it... as of this post the lowest number of views for any of the episodes is still at 1.5 million (Episode 9) and Episode 12 is at 1.8 million. So respectable middle of the road numbers for a BL not from GMMTV.
do you think Zuho didn't want to do a real kiss in the series?
Might have been their management, either way they should not be doing BLs if they are not willing to put in the effort for actual intimacy or kissing. (Not talking about sex scenes)
I consider Word of Honor is one of the greatest gay romantic drama, it doesn't have any kiss scenes. I think a…
I still haven't watched that...I keep meaning too...after all it's got Gong Jun! As for censored vs not....I prefer not, but anything 'well done' is obviously better! Sadly too often BL fans have to simply accept lower quality production quality and writing. (Although there are obvious exceptions!)
OK, maybe I'm wrong, I just remembered 'Addicted Heroin' being much darker, but I suppose it could be based on the same source. Just different dramatic interpretations... To be honest I was not a big fan of 'Addicted Heroin'.
OK... So 6 episodes in. I got to admit I'm very worried about Chinese productions due to the censored romance stuff, it's very annoying. I saw someone said that it is mislabeled or something and that it's supposed to have a kiss... The info says 24 episodes total, so I guess we'll have to wait and see if that is accurate.
Yes, Singto carried Sotus entirely.I may give one episode a try as well...but I have NO HOPE for anything involving…
@Sunnyrain, I will say this very clearly and then I won't respond anymore because I feel it's a waste of time. I do NOT like Krist. But I also do not go out of my way to bash him. My reasons are: # The roles I have seen him in I was not impressed with his performance. # He seemed to not like to do BL very much at all, which is annoying.
That being said, I do NOT judge BLs solely based on who is in them. I try to give them a fair chance when I watch because I'm very fine with admitting that I can be surprised by the story or performance and possibly change my mind.
Singto carried Sotus on his back and saved Krist horrendous acting in that series.. I have not seen Krist act…
Yes, Singto carried Sotus entirely. I may give one episode a try as well...but I have NO HOPE for anything involving Krist if I'm being honest. Perhaps there will be a side couple that can keep me watching.... never know.
BL fans keep complaining that Thai BL nowadays is all about NC scenes with zero plot and just tropes. And whenever…
Yes, people will complain either way. And at the end of the day the producers will go with whatever they think will make the most money. LoL
Personally I would like more variety rather than the cookie cutter clones. But they make the clones because they were a successful formula...it's like a standard operating procedure in the industry it seems.
ep 5 was adorable when Jeng and Pat were at the fireworks, ahhhh sparks fly!!! They are too cute, I'm not sure…
I seriously doubt it would happen soon. Jeng is Pat's boss and he seems very reluctant to cross the line (even though he obviously wants to). It will take more time and stimulation to make him move though.
What I don’t like about this series is that they have too much characters. I think this series can be just as…
I agree. But I think they do that in the hopes that they will get more viewers who are invested in at least one of the couples. (But that's just my speculation)
I came here to ask these questions too 😭...I paid my undivided attention tho. I know why chot is in hospital…
The fact that Pat and Put were dating 2 years prior was established a couple times in prior episodes. I don't know if the versions you are watching are cut... From Gaga the episode lengths were: Episode 1 - 48m Episode 2 - 1h3m Episode 3 - 1h13m Episode 4 - 1h24m Episode 5 - 1h14m (was 1h16m but I think they cut a scene they weren't supposed to do or something)
I don't recall all the episodes but he was getting calls/texts from him. Flowers were sent at one point. For the ones I happened to recall... Check episode 2 around 32m for Put's first appearance with Pat. Check the end of episode 4 near 1h21m
