You are absolutely right and I for one I am glad I do not like the same things as majority of MDL viewers seem to like and enjoy, I shudder at the thought of being mediocre.
Justifying people rating down a good and well acted drama because they got their feelings hurt that they didn’t get 2 more kiss scenes or whatever it is they were expecting is lemme borrow your words bad form and deserve to be clowned. Besides no one is against romance, it was never the focus of the drama in the first place no matter what the clowns (once again borrowing your words) down rating the drama say to justify their whining.

It’s so funny how the people claiming the drama wasn’t that good afterall are saying this because there was no romance or the romance was not up to what they were expecting. What a complete ass joke.
This really just shows the level of the average CDrama viewer here on MDL, little wonder mediocre and badly acted dramas gets such high ratings here because it has romance to fulfill whatever delusional fantasies they harbor.
This is a revenge drama and it never pretended to be anything else + the FL said several times to the ML that all she wants was her mom and a place to call home, that she wasn't looking for the “you are the only one for me and I will love only you till death do us part” type of romance, so if you are disappointed due to whatever expectations you had, that’s on you.
I am all for romance but the lack thereof doesn’t negate a good drama especially when the focus of said drama wasn’t romance in the first place.
The constant disappointment I feel reading comments here on MDL drama after drama is frankly overwhelming. Just feels like a cesspool of no substance and surface level people.

PS: if you feel the need to reply me with any self righteous indignation, I employ you to cease and desist because I will just know that you are triggered and hence one of the people I am talking about, therefore you are not worth my time

Exactly. I am so sick of all these fangirls/boys on MDL acting all self righteous like they don’t give 10/10 or 5/5 to mid dramas just because it’s their fave idol’s drama and FYI not everyone giving a 1 rating to a drama is a hater/anti.
Some times the script/plot and acting of a drama is just not good enough and deserves to be poorly rated, not everything is about imaginary haters

I am currently @ep25 and have have my initial/current rating on 9.5/10, i am trending towards a 10/10 upon completion barring any decrease in my enjoyment of the drama but I will say this, if this Drama goes the C-Drama “parents can torture, manipulate, emotionally, mentally & physically abuse their children” but all is forgiven @ the end & its all kumbaya one big happy family because apparently no child has the right to decide to remove themselves from a toxic/harmful relationship because they will be seen as unfilial, no matter what the parents might have put them through all in the name of they are still your parents.
That uncle is a creep, her aunt and aunt’s husband are evil, useless and complicit but the worst offender is her mother, I have seen my fair share of bad parents in CDramas but this has the be the worst one yet, even if you don’t believe she was almost raped, she has bruises from her fall and this useless pathetic excuse of not just a mother but a human being, wasn’t even concerned about her injuries but more concerned about inconveniencing her new husband. The more I type the more furious I am about how such a wicked, nasty, useless and evil mother can actually exist.
The fact that she’s even having any sort of conversation with that mother is already pissing me the hell off but If this drama does any sort of reconciliation between FL and her mother, my final rating is definitely going to be a 1/10, there is no ifs and buts about that

Huh. nope. The insomnia started right from the beginning of the drama. The reason why she met the ML in the first place was because of her Insomnia, that’s what she went to the clinic for and that’s he was treating her for @ the beginning.
The nightmares that came after the breakup.
Yeah the whole resolve your issues or you might be fired was crazy to say the least.

I am @ ep24 and I have on an overall scale enjoyed the drama but I have rolled my eyes a couple of times with some things
I like how she went to him for the confession but first of all, she took off from work but all of a sudden we see her @ work just so she can “surprisingly” see the gift left by that crazy ass ex and then have her “I have moved on” revelation, also the whole let’s go throw out the trash so as not to have the confession scene in a less picturesque place, that scene was IMO done only because they wanted the whole petal falling when they kissed scene, if so they should have just organically met outside.
Then we have seen that their building uses passcodes but all of a sudden. She now forgot her keys and she has to stay @ his place, they have been drumming their matured ages in our ears the whole drama, why then is this roundabout tactics needed for her to stay over in his place.
Finally, i know breakups can be hard but I felt this drama went way overboard with her grief and anguish. She already cried and mourned the relationship after it ended and I get she didn’t get closure since he broke up with her over text, but crying and wailing and have literal nightmares one year later just felt a bit too much for my likeness, not forgetting the whole getting insomnia because of a relationship.
But i do really love her parents relationship and her relationship with them, also her relationship with her friends… i wish we got to see more of her friends romantic relationship
Will update my final rating after I finish the drama but so far

I am just @ ep5 and even I can understand what you are saying.
I also agree with the people replying under your review. This drama comes across as so pretentious and the leads having hero complexes which would have been fine for me if I actually believed in the characters and the setting. A war zone where everyone is kumbaya-ing and the leads having emotional moments amidst bomb detonations.

I am really really trying to give this drama a chance but the more I watch the more it’s looking like I am going to have to drop this after all.
Why the hell did they have to make the Fl act so stiff and like a lost puppy, she looks like a deer caught in red-lights during all her interactions with the ML, I get that she is attracted to him and interested in him but she’s not a little school girl, she’s a freaking war reporter.
The way she behaves around him is so off putting and I am fast forwarding some of their interactions because I just can’t stand it, so I just can’t take her as a professional war reporter seriously
Does this get any better because am currently @ ep3 and I am just frustrated with both the FLs characterization and portrayal of said character and the overall slow and unnatural nature/movements of the drama

I have been waiting for this drama to end before I start watching, I am currently at ep2 but something just feels off with it, everything just feels so unnatural, the movements, the way the dialogues are said, all comes across as acting, which I am well aware is what they are doing but IMO good acting should come off as natural.
I have liked the FL in a previous drama but she really isn’t doing anything for me here so far, will keep with it though and hope it improves because I have been waiting very patiently to watch this drama but right now its really not giving me anything @ all

The mob & victim mentality on MDL is ridiculous. So anyone that rates a drama low is a hater.
That means if you have rated any drama low then you are a hater. You fangirls/boys on this site really need to give the whole “antis are rating it low” rhetoric a rest. This may come as a shock especially to those who lack common sense, but sometimes people don’t just like a plot/script, acting or vibe of a drama and nothing to do with your fave idol.
The people who use this site really need to level up their maturity & intelligence because shit is crazy

Three is no real palace politics like in historical dramas but the princes are competing for the throne so to speak. The 2nd part of the drama is focused more on the princes competition for the throne.

You can’t even construct a coherent sentence, your comment/review is poorly written and disjointed but you somehow think you have the right to speak on anyone’s appearance.
