Firstly, I couldn't fault the cast, they were great, I wouldn't change them at all. I loved the scenes between the king and queen it was nice to see the progression and evolution of their relationship, this was done well. I didn't find anything special with the music, was it just me or did I hear something similar to the pirates of the Caribbean theme tune during some fight scenes in the beginning of the series? this kind of made me slightly annoyed. The story had elements of great promise, it was nice to see some new elements in there, I did go and research more into Korean history because of this and got a little more understanding. I think I found the series a bit full on at times, I would have liked to have seen the main characters not badgered by the villains every five seconds and have had a bit of a break, because of this at certain points watching the series it would take me a while to want to go back watching it. This is partially why I lowered the score, another reason for this was that I found it slightly predictable. I give this drama praise though for it's originality I was slightly thrown to see glow in the dark fight scenes and asked myself 'wait is this historically accurate?!' but after a while it was quite pleasant to see things in an alternative way. I loved the clothing and hairstyles on the queen, I thought they were very pretty and inspiring, I must admit I didn't like the clothing and hairstyle of the court prince but they make him look more 'slimy' then he would have been in normal attire so I think it did well to set his character, so kudos. If you want to watch a drama with lots of content with historical themes in an alternative manor, good fight scenes, with a bit of time travel and some magic. This drama might be for you. If your fussy and want a deep unpredictable plot, watch the first five episodes and see how you go.
