I like the metaphors and poetic elements in this drama. They are subtle and woven throughout the entire story. One…
Your last two sentences describe exactly how I feel. Their relationship is very messy with lots of unspoken words and buried feelings. It's hard to watch at times but at the same time interesting. And the writers didn't show us the whole picture yet. I am still curious if and how they reconcile. And the role of the twin will hopefully play a bigger part in the next episodes. The dialogues are also interesting. It's not my fave airing drama but it's a nice story. And much bettet than Impossible heir.
I finally watched this and well... IU is a great leading lady.. funny, feisty and wonderfully dressed. The ML is a great actor but underemployed here cause there's not much to him other than beeing the love interest and saviour of her. The backstory is way too short for me to care. The SML is underdeveloped too. The actor is great too. The ghost cases distract from the main storyline and lead to pacing issues. The cinematography and score is beautiful. The whole thing needed editing. 12 episodes would have been enough. The ending dragged in some parts and was rushed in the important parts at the same time. A nice watch but nothing compared to Alchemy of souls or Tomorrow
I don’t think it is for an old audience. The actors surely will pull old audience but the genre of the drama…
Sorry for confusing you without giving context. For me there are romcons with a youthful vibe and a younger cast mostly directed at a younger audience while there are others with an older generation of actors and problems that are more understandable for people above their teenage years. But you' re right that romcom is kind if universal. I can relate to all kind of stories but some of my friends have f.e. problems to watch a romcom with teenagers because they feel too old for that.
There are so many strong kdramas at the moment that I kinda haven´t found the time to watch this. I like the actors so I will come back to it. It seems to be for an older audience.
The plot stays engaging and all the actors are doing a wonderful job. I think it´s great to see KYD finally get a role where he can present more complex emotions. I really liked him in "Shooting stars" though. He´s great at comedy. But this is another side of him. Kim Do Hoon always delivers. And I think KYJ is killing it too. Her best role yet by far and her best drama. Wasn´t a fan of her older ones to be honest. But she´s a good actress. I´d love to see LeNa get a somewhat happy ending. Unlike the FL she is someone who´s redeemable cause she seems to have empathy. Would be great to see her with Jae O. They would make a funny couple. So I hope they don´t do everything like they did in the webtoon.
IMO "Dear X" has the best plot out of all the ongoing dramas and there is some strong competition with "The manipulated" and "Typhoon family" which are also great or "Dynamite Kiss" which is predictable but so funny and well played. What a great time for a kdrama watcher.
The relationship between the two leads is complicated but I get where both are coming from. I hope we get more information about the second twin and the whole time he was vanished.
I'm a little reluctant to watch the next episode because I feel like Taepoong's failures are more often caused…
I agree with you. The last obstacle should have been a success for once because it's getting tiresone that the enemy is always there and ruins it for the company. I would have prefered similar obstacles but without a single antagonist. It seems too unnatural and unbelievable that Pyo is always getting in the way. Other than that it's a highly entertaining show with a great cast that keeps you on your toes. And everytime the song with the roses on the train coms up I have to start laughing.
It's so funny. If the kissing and intimacy scenes are well done the rating here always reaches incredible heights no matter the rest of the story. Just my observation. Lol
I watched both dramas you mentioning and I liked them a lot, and I find this very similar to Business Proposal…
I really liked King the land although the story was nothing special. The lead couple was so convincing and it was also incredibly funny. I love Lee Junho. Business proposal was a mixed bag for me. I only liked the second couple and the old man. He's always playing hilarious characters. But he was way funnier in Suspicious partner.
The story is a typical paint by numbers-romcom. But the actors are selling it. It's entertaining and typical kdrama like Business proposal or King the land. And I hope they leave out the childhood connection.
I guess since she's a sociopath with sociopathic parents and can't love and he's kinda messed up and traumatized…
Sociopathy can´t really be healed. And in my opinion all she did is abuse and manipulate others. I like stories with villains beeing the protagonist and KJY is killing it. I doubt this will end happy. But let´s wait and see.
I’m rooting for Jun Seo & Ah Jin. Jun Seo & Ah Jin = End Game 🥺
I guess since she's a sociopath with sociopathic parents and can't love and he's kinda messed up and traumatized too lacking a moral compass (although he has feelings if only for her cause he formed a trauma bond with her), I fear history will repeat itsself. If they end up together they will be the root of the next sociopathic children. These kinda stories tend to get darker and darker by commenting on todays society. My other idea is that both of them will die after harming each other.
It's not my fave airing drama but it's a nice story. And much bettet than Impossible heir.
