jcw acting šš»šš»šš» henis incredible. they could've casted someone more mature and serious as…
I think D.O. plays the villain in a very creepy way. He hasn't had much screentime so far compared to JCW. I think he'll deliver. KJW has been a great villain in other dramas. So I'm glad he wasn't casted here giving others the chance to show their evil side. Lol
Lee Jae Wook was pretty lucky to be in Alchemy of Souls. Otherwise his career is just bad
I think he appeared in lots of great shows. I just thought that Impossible heir was messy and Dodosolsol had a terrible last quarter. The rest I did enjoy a lot. I also think he's one of the best actors of his generation in kdramaland. But tastes differ and that's okay.
I think this drama is very entertaining and kinda reminds me of a mixture of some Hollywood movies and classic TV series (The shawshank redemption, Prison break and even Squid game). I hope it can add something new. JCW is great as always. I“d like to see him less blood-stained in his next drama though. I“m not so much into graphic violance. I love a good fight but not so much all the body fluids flying around. So I hope not every episode gets as bloody as ep.4. I don“t mind if there is a love interest for the ML but romance per se doesn“t fit the story. It“s okay if it“s not entering romcom territory. I also hope there isn“t a reunion with the ex-girlfriend.
This drama is very well written with a good pace and believable characters. Next to Our unwritten Seoul this may be my contender for fave drama of 2025. Netflix released lots of great dramas this year. I slso loved Dear Hongrang, Weak Hero Class 2, Tangerines, Melo movie and Bon appetit.
I loved the first episode. The leads are great actors. I'm curious about what happened. True...there have been similar settings in other kdramas f.e. Samdalri or Love next door but each story turned out to be different. Since Jae Wook is my fave korean actor next to Lee Jun ho and Ji Chang Wook this autumn is a fantastic time for me drama-wise. Lol
I will definetily watch this. I really like Kim Do Hoon. He was great in "Love scout" and "Moving". And I loved Kim Young Dae in "Shooting star" and "The forbidden marriage". Kim You Jung is pretty but her dramas didn“t do anything for me so far. I liked her performance in "Backstreet rookie" the most although the drama itsself was just mediocre (sorry, JCW).
I am watching this for the first time and enjoying it so far. BUT I am a bit irritated by the acting in some scenes. I“ve watched other dramas of the FL and she was always so on point and natural with her acting. Butin this drama there are many scenes were you can feel she“s acting. I also think the characters aren“t fleshed out enough and the loveline is very "straight to your face". It just happens for no obvious reasons. The plot also gets convoluted in the end. The big plus is the overall concept of the show, the fast pace and the effects (for a TV drama). The music reminds me so much of Marvels soundtrack that I almost anticipate Iron Man flying around the corner at every minute . LOL And then there“s the ML. I avoided his dramas so far because his unnatural look distratced me from the plot. But in this story it fits because he litarally is playing a cartoon character. I also think he“s acting decent most of the time and has a certain charme. Fortunately he improved his acting over the years as I found him much better in "Law and the city". Even his look seems to be more natural in that drama. To finish this post: I would recommend this drama. It“s fast paced, occasionally funny and has two charismatic leads who haven“t reached their full acting potential here but are nice to watch nonetheless.
I only got through this because of Song Joong Kis performance. He's reminding me of a young Tom Cruise in Top Gun (not a good movie either but saved by its lead actor). The second couple was nice too and the older couple had my heart.
This is still one of the most interesting kdramas this year. I really loved the thriller aspect. I see that it's not for everyone. But it had a tight script, great actors, beautiful haunting cinematography and music. I also love that it's without the palace politics. I still have to watch Rowoons Murky stream. This should be another kind of seaguk too.
This is good. I hope the second half curse doesn't affect it.
I hope so too since many kdramas I've watched recently had a weaker second half. Unfortunately some went downhill after 2-4 episodes although they started so strong. But 2025 had some great ones as well like f.e. "Our unwritten Seoul", "Dear Hongrang" , "Study group" or "When life gives you tangerines ".
This drama started out so great with its first two episodes. I also like the lead actors. But the story stalls after ep 3 and gets more and more confusing and over the top. Unfortunately I have to drop this after ep 6.
This is a great show so far. I love all of Junhos dramas. The FL is impressive too. And the pace is great. The drama does a good job presenting its characters and mixing different tones. So many memorable scenes already.
This one was odd. It had a great cast and storyline to the point where after the first four episodes, I had it…
Exactly my thoughts. I loved the acting and there were some great heartfelt scenes in between. But the story dragged and dragged with nothing really happening... even for the slice of life genre. I also think some of the dialogues were very unnatural. It was similar with the drama Run on but that one had a more concise storyline. The best part here for me was the little sister the second couple and the acting as a whole.
I hope it can add something new. JCW is great as always. I“d like to see him less blood-stained in his next drama though. I“m not so much into graphic violance. I love a good fight but not so much all the body fluids flying around. So I hope not every episode gets as bloody as ep.4.
