I finished this drama yesterday. I like the last 3 episodes; they're exciting with the twists and turns, and the ending is brilliant! It makes me really think and read up on discussions online, which are quite interesting π. Despite the comedy, political intrigue and romance, this drama is also philosophical in some ways. It's an entertaining watch, and I would definitely recommend this!Β π
Saw that this drama has started in iQIYI today! Finishing ADwaD and Qingchuan's Veil of Vengeance, then I will start this π. Or I might just start it if I can't help it!
Just finished eps 23 and 24, and they were great! I like how the story is moving forward and the characters' development, and the excitement is building up too. Kudos to Song Yi Ting for boldly speaking up to Song Yi Meng. More than once, her words made SYM reevaluate her assumptions and made her realize certain things. I'm looking forward to the next episodes π.
Not sure if anyone noticed this. In episode 9, the opening theme "Offer" (ε₯δΈ) from "A Journey to Love" is played as background music from 21:44 to 22:20 π. That song is one of my all-time favorites!
I finished "The Prisoner of Beauty" a few days ago. One thing that stands out for me is how the drama shows the growth of Wei Shao and Qiao Man's relationship ππ. It's the enemies to lovers trope, but the progression is organic and well done. Their interactions and approach in handling their relationship and other people's expectations don't feel "forced" or "artificial". Kudos to the production team for putting this drama together π! And I'm so glad that it was released and not stuck in the back burner.
Zang Hai played a big part in Ping Jin Hou's downfall, but he did not kill him directly. I don't want to spoil you further though. Just keep watching π.
I finished "Legend of Zang Hai" yesterday. The plot is engaging until the end. Although I feel that the last episode was a bit rushed, I would say the ending is satisfying, as it wrapped up the different parts and showed clearly what happened to the characters.
Xiao Zhan, Zhang Jing Yi, Zhou Qi and Liang Chao gave justice to their characters, and the rest of the cast did quite well too. I like the OST, especially the opening and ending theme songs.
Episodes 26 & 27 have some of the most intense scenes! The story keeps getting better.
In ep 26, I like the confrontation scene in prison between Zang Hai and Zhuang Lu Yin, and afterwards, the scene while he was walking on the street looking forlorn is so well done. Xiao Zhan showed great depth in his acting.
Ep 27 is truly and literally intense. Eunuch Cao is such a sleazy and devious character. Can't wait to see his ending.
I just finished ep 22 and it's going great! Glad that all episodes have been aired. I can binge-watch in peace π, knowing that I don't have to wait for episodes to drop.
Just want to share the trailer:
