I'm on episode 16 and enjoying this drama so far. The story's good, I like Song Zu Er and Liu Yu Ning's characters, and they have good chemistry too 😍.
I finished "Luoyang" yesterday. I had wanted to watch this drama since one or 2 years ago, but I hesitated after accidentally seeing a spoiler for one character (but it's not a major plot spoiler). I'm glad that I decided to go for it! I was drawn into the story from the first episode. This drama has mystery and suspense (so it's best to avoid spoilers), political intrigue, romance that is not over the top, and great fight scenes and OST. Huang Xuan, Victoria Song, Wang Yi Bo and Song Yi portrayed their roles quite well. I would also like to mention some of the supporting cast, such as Liu Duan Duan, Jiang Long and Zhang Li, who gave good performances. This drama is a great watch for me, so I would definitely recommend it! 👍
I loved how they change the ending dance every few episodes to include the guest cast from those certain episodes,…
Me too! Although the dance steps are basically the same, I like that they change the background, costumes, and include the guest cast from these episodes (like you said). I don't skip the ending credits at all! 😊
I'm on episode 28. The excitement level keeps going up. This drama not only has great visuals and cinematography, but I also like the songs and background music! And I find myself looking forward to their dance numbers at the end of each episode (and they change this every few episodes) 😂!
So I finished this drama a few days ago, and I'm glad I watched it and persevered 😂! It's not perfect; for one they could have reduced the angst and misunderstandings and showed more of the couple's sweet moments. I saw some of these clips which did not make it to the final cut! There is good build-up of the romance and political/military plot, as well as character development. I like Shawn Dou and Chen Du Ling's acting and chemistry! The rest of the cast did a good job too. Overall, it's a good watch for me.
Just finished episode 14. This drama is a visually enchanting feast for the eyes, with the vivid colors and good cinematography. No wonder, as it's from the same director as "My Journey to You", so the shots and camera angles are similar.
I finished this drama a few days ago, and I'm glad I watched it and persevered (lol)! It's not perfect; for one they could have reduced the angst and misunderstandings and showed more of the couple's sweet moments. I saw some of these clips which did not make it to the final cut! But there is good build-up of the romance and political/military plot, and steady character development. I like Shawn Dou (Xiao Bei Chen) and Chen Du Ling's (Lin Hang Jing) acting and chemistry, the Xiao family dynamics (again it's not perfect), the strong brotherhood of Xiao Bei Chen, Mo Wei Yi and Xu Zi Jun, and how the drama connects the characters' stories to the political events of the time.
So despite some things that could've been better, it's still an overall good watch for me.
