The Chinese audience is very hypocritical with this. China is known for putting on so much make up and effects that they can transform their face into completely different people, but he looks pretty much the same, no different than your typical person with make up vs without. Stupid complaint when literally all of them do it and it's considered a beauty standard that many can't obtain.

He definitely kind of seems to show up whenever it's convenient for the plot but is otherwise absent, so yeah the cast line up is misleading.

I totally get that, but when I heard his English it was more of a, it's not perfect but he was trying his best and it was kind of that adorable incorrect accent for me! I could understand most of what he was saying personally.

That was one of the most heartbreaking clips I saw while scrolling on my FB feed. Quite literally one of the most disgusting comments ever and his reaction made me so upset, worse than I've felt in a long time because of how hard he took it. I sure hope he's okay, poor thing. There is some, quite a bit interspersed throughout and it's not a cringey type, maybe that's why people will say there isn't any but I'd say there's plenty. When it started airing I wasn't expecting as much romance as there was in it personally. I guess it's all up to the viewer to decide just how much they consider a lot or none haha
