The original creator is a piece of crap that deserves the wood chipper. It's really upsetting because these movies are wonderful and the actors did their absolute best on it that they should be proud of, I really enjoyed how well the movies were made, but I'm sick to my stomach hearing about that after finishing all the movies and not beforehand. All I can say is I'm glad I sailed the high seas to watch it because I'm not giving one red cent to a pedophile.
So anyone thinking about watching these - beware. If you *really* must that you just can't help yourself (such as you like a certain actor or know the entertainment of the show is one of the best sword fighting movies out there), 🏴☠️ it instead so he doesn't get any royalties from it.
People complain about the age gap in Goblin but rarely do I see people having a problem with this age gap and him looking old enough to be her father. I'm sorry but I'd rather take Gong Too and Kim Go Eun being 12 years apart (Her character was an adult soon enough in Goblin as well so that didn't bother me, and in American age she already was an adult) but looking close enough in age to this, which just feels gross. I kid you not it gives a father falling in love with his daughter vibes. ew.
another random 8 ep netlix kdrama with plot thats been produced a million times already. I remember when dramas…
Seems like it'll feel something akin to Night Has Come, which was mid, alright but not great. This plot has been done several times and poorly, hopefully this will be better, but I have low expectations.
I hate to say it, but Webtoons with such plots should stay as Webtoons and not be made into live actions. The moral is lost and the actress is getting major hate. It's different when it's a drawn character, not attached to any living person to put down if there is some kind of point you want to make. Casting anyone in such a show is a bit cruel to be honest.
Btw that person hates Korea and K-dramas for some political reason as they idolize China, so I would take what…
It's common for Cdrama fans who hate on any other countries media to down vote any kdrama (yes it happens vice versa as well, but you get the point lol), they're really obsessive over Chinese media and are some of the unhinged so-called "fans" I've encountered. I thought kdrama comment sections were sometimes a bit crazy and irrational, but Cdrama ones are 10× worse and the people who are actually there to enjoy the shows have a hard time. I tried a handful of them to follow as they went and wanted to join in the conversation because I've had fun with some Kdramas discussions as stuff was airing regardless of some rude comments that'll be made, but I was bullied several times for making respectful critiques, or even simply joking. I stay far away from those kind of people and shows now, it doesn't make it fun and ruins it for everyone else. Chinese Empress in particular is a very rude and mean commenter that shows up everywhere to argue.
they filmed it but they chose to cut it because the drama flopped
Most chinese fans are obsessive nut cases, so I'm not surprised you're still showing unhinged behavior in the comments section. Maybe go get your head checked out for a mental disorder.
Why do these bios always say "They were released on etc etc." when it's not even that year yet lol if you have time to edit the bio once to include their military service info, you have the time to edit it again when they're actually finished with it. Goofy.
Whoever says he's a bad actor watched one show that had a crappy script and judged off of nothing. Maybe romance just isn't the right genre for him, and that's like 90% of kdramas they produce and push for their actors to star in, so it's really not his fault at all. Sweet Home & Navillera he did a great job and acted perfectly. Right emotion, feeling and character emersion. Honestly I feel there was an inception to all of the criticism and I'm not sure where it started, but everyone must've blindly followed suit like sheep to try and sound smart, when in actuality can't understand that scripts, directors and agencies all have to do with whether or not they're utilizing the Actors talent properly/Allowing them to take certain roles etc.
I see you're a kdrama watcher like me, although I've tried a handful of Cdramas. I watched halfway but the casting…
Sad you have to spoiler the comment because crazy fans will tear you apart for that opinion, but I agree as well. Almost nothing deserves a full blown 9, most of the time with those kind of ratings there's something wrong or fudged. I even see a lot of people pointing out several flaws but still giving it a 9-10 star rating, you can never trust the numbers. I can completely finish a slow burn, but I was having a very hard time trying to find something to grip me when it started off more interesting than the way it was going.

Yeah haha
It's not that I don't have the attention span for it most of the time, it's side characters and plots that don't have anything to do with the main characters, causing them to get less and less screentime when I thought the story was supposed to be about them. I'm totally okay with side plots, but as the story progressed, more and more people were added in between when I thought they'd had already established most of everyone and I couldn't keep track anymore. It felt like every few episodes a new person would be integrated.
is it worth watching? Chinese dramas are much longer than what I’m used to but I want to give them a try…
I see you're a kdrama watcher like me, although I've tried a handful of Cdramas. I watched halfway but the casting list and plot isn't exactly accurate and the people you think you're going to be watching for get lost in the background. As Chinese dramas are longer, there's way too many characters, side plots and dragging storylines for me personally to focus on and I began skipping many scenes without the main leads. I didn't really feel like hitting play on the next episode much at all because there's just too much going on. But you never know, it was better in the beginning and went into left field territory where the leads were absent most of the time, but you may like it!

I'm satisfied enough just knowing that.
Calling everything misogyny is such a cop out to address the real problem, which is it's an execution and writing issue.
