“The leads’ CP feels (chemistry) are quite obvious, and they’ve kept the classic scenes and lines, including the two marriage scenes. Regarding boy-to-girl swap of a character, to be honest I think it’s alright. It’s the same as in the original novel, because smj’s character is just trying to survive amidst the conflict, survival and finishing his business is his priority (which means there won't be any forced romantic scenes between her and Mo Ran).

Reading their unbiased opinions on this drama really assured me. Especially the second viewer's, Since he's a guy who hasn't even read the novel yet he can see ranwan's chemistry so it must be quite obvious. Now, they're to blame for the mess of a person I’ll become when hyx finally airs. :))

The thing that bothered me the most was how Qi Ling didn't mourn when Ice feng died but instead went to look for his Duke... Like bitch your soul pet SACRIFICED himself to save your sorry ass. At least feel guilty or something :/

I loved that ancient Caillou (Fu Kang An) finally got what he deserved in the end. It made up for everything this drama lacked.

I wonder if they'll keep Cao Chunhua's obsession with pretty men or remove/change it to women... I really want to see Jiyang play a chaotic gay character though.

It's dubbed. Zhou Zishu is voiced by Gu Jiang Shan/谷江山 and Wen Kexing by Wang Kai/王凯 - not the actor Wang Kai though, they just have the same name lol.

No one here ever said it wasn't a rumour, We're just excited because it seems believable, Yet you felt the need to comment such a obvious fact for some reason... Were you expecting a reward for being the 'only' one here not believing the rumours or what? Don't believe the rumour if you don't want to, just don't act like others are idiots for doing so.

It's indeed just a rumour right now, however there's several reasons why it might not be completely baseless so it makes sense why many people are choosing to believe it:
1. It was CONFIRMED to air in spring and hyx's shooting, dubbing, editing and everything else is 100% done. It even passed the censorship. If they won't air it now, then when? Next year?
2. Once upon a time, Shimei's gender swap used to just a rumour too.
3. This rumour is spreading like a fire in a forest on weibo yet the production team, who recently warned people spreading fake rumours and posting leaks, didn't deny it. Check out their weibo post's comment section, there's not even a single user who isn't talking about it so there's no way they aren't aware of this rumour.
4. Chen Feiyu's recent instagram post is captioned 'Coming soon'.

You all should watch Ever Night if you haven't yet. I swear feiyu's performance in it completely outshined rest of the cast despite him being just a newbie actor back then.

Same, I usually don't like to argue but I'll legit start a war with anyone who decided to insult 2ha or Meatbun. There's indeed some uncomfortable stuff in the original novel but just because it's 'uncomfortable' doesn't mean it was romantised or taken lightly. Mo Ran's actions were SUPPOSED to be uncomfortable and unlikeable in the first place. Meatbun is one of those rare authors who doesn't idolise her characters, she write them like human beings - imperfect, bare and broken.
