I'm still on ep 28 so no spoilers pls! Anyways, I am so happy to see the rating rise! It truly deserves it and even more (hope it goes even higher hehe)! So so happy and proud!! 👏👏

So I did read that the author may be planning for a season 2 (from someone who knows Chinese) so I guess depending on whatever (maybe how well the drama is doing), they will choose btw the three endings they filmed, so I am still having a bit of hope for a not too tragic ending. Not exactly confirmed for S2 obv anyway. So ofc, I am still very much prepared for a SE. Let's see what happens. I am not ready for this at all.

My theory is what if Hailou ends up killing Haixia who would have never wanted it but did it so he doesn't continue to kill? Or it could be Haixia killing himself so Hailou doesn't have to bare living with the memory of killing him? And rmr when Haixia said he'd rather do it himself than Haiqi doing it? Likely Haiqi won't be the one but this time Hailou... So I think maybe Haixia will do it himself. This is too much. I hope my theory is wrong. 😭🙏 (I swear if it follows this, it's gonna be a second drama of a top favorite mine that will end this tragically 🥲)

Or it could be Haixia killing himself so Hailou doesn't have to bare living with the memory of killing him, like Yinglong to Bingyi. And rmr when Haixia said he'd rather do it himself than Haiqi doing it? Likely Haiqi won't be the one bjt this time Hailou... So I think maybe Haixia will do it himself. This is too much. What makes it more beautiful is that song is sung by Zhang Xincheng himself so I legit started sobbing the moment his singing voice came during that scene 💔 Oh, and the ending song is as well sung by him... I always have these songs on repeat while listening to the soundtrack just bc they're sooo beautiful.

The way this drama is literally so depressing that I pray so hard Haixia miraculously makes it to the end 😭🙏

No way... I had no idea Deng Wei was playing two characters! Whatever their relation is, as an identical twin, I am living so much for this!!

Looking back it sucks they had to change the characters' names due to copyright bc now the mouthing for saying a name don't look correct oof at least make it look close enough so it doesn't feel strange. Other than that I'm happy to say I'm enjoying this drama.

Just watched the first ep and I am having so much fun!! This cast is a plus! Like dang I have been waiting so long for this one and I still can't believe we got so mamy actors we know! It's also so fun to see some reunions!

Also can't wait to see my cps! I think Riley Wang and Dai Luwa are gonna be cute!! I'm nervous to get SLS with the main but let's see... I alr know Deng Wei is gonna be an interesting character!! Also the cute bromance of Tian Jiarui and Cheng Hongxin is alr there aahhh it gets me super excited to see them again in another drama in the future aahhh!!

Also based on the trailer I was sad most were dubbed... The one I was worried the most was Tian Jiarui and I am so glad they let him dub omg it wouldn't be the same without his real voice that I'm so used to! Also it's the first Ruirui drama outside his company? Yesssss finally!! Also thank you for letting Deng Wei dub too omg it might be the first time I hear his real voice!! It's so nice!!

Lol I don't mind not seeing them too much ofc... And uhh I have alr been enjoying our main trio in this drama immensely since day one sksksks

It's been a bit since I watched a drama I felt THIS strongly for. I think it's really the well-written plot, amazing pacing, action, the acting (c'mon, the two MLs are some of the most amazing actors), and the bonds btw the characters (our trio family, esp the MLs) that just made me fall in love with this one! I did wish they would just communicate tho like there's a reason why "Communication is key" and hiding things will just make things worse. I mean, our boy Hailou is all for it but not them which is just heartbreaking. Anyways, so far, (maybe) a rare 9.5 from me!

I just look at his dramas and it saddens me that most of them aren't that great. My man deserves better scripts than these. The only ones I've watched are Reset Life, Love You Seven Times, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, Moonlight (didn't like it), Love in Pavilion, and now Nanyang Mystery. Like have y'all seen him in his new drama actually? He really shows off his incredible acting skills there even more. It alr shows in LGIEF as well. Him in Love in Pavilion was AMAZING bc he got to show himself playing two characters! Now we see him in Nanyang Mystery that showcases more of his skills (won't spoil since it happens later in the show), playing a character like no other. I hope my man gets better scripts here on out 🙏

The frick if Haixia is really Mo... I mean he is legit like kinda possessed now so it's like a bit more believable that he would do such things... I mean, what was up with him wanting to take out all the Twilight Grass there? Def smth terrible is gonna happen now, oh gosh... I honestly wished Haiqi would do smth more bc she is literally aware of his situation... She feels a bit too calm in this scenario... And Hailou deserves to know everything he's going thru so that he can help him more... I think bc things aren't being communicated outright, things may just get worse :(

Okay, wait... So I was looking forward to seeing the main trio from Time Raiders. Then I thought about the time periods. This one is during the republican era while Time Raiders is during the modern era. So now I'm curious how that works (if it's a huge spoiler don't say it out to me)... But whatever, I am looking forward to the other two now! So happy finally seeing Xiaoge appear today!

Ayooo did y'all see Xiaoge (Zhang Qiling) finally made his first appearance in "Archives: The Nanyang Mystery" today aahhh!!!!!

So everyone who took the pill that Haixia took ended up dying in the end... Can they give us a miracle where there will be one survivor who can eventually get healed in the end... Like I just can't if he has to suffer the same fate as those other people. It's too much for me, even tho ngl I am alr preparing myself for it. Also, was there really no other way to save his life but take the pill? Bc that pill is just too much and doing too much damage to our poor Haixia like he did NOT deserve to have to live with this right after coming back. Idek how he's gonna be able to live well now bc living like that is just so miserable. :(

But ofc, without it there won't be this kind of angst and the more incredible diversity of acting by our Ding Yuxi. I am so proud of this man, proving to everyone of his amazing acting skills! You really can feel his character throughout and it really leaves an imprint on his character, making him to be a very remarkable and unforgettable one. Prob his best acting and character yet too! Like I've already known Ding Yuxi for quite some years now, as well as being a fan of his, and this role just proves even more how he can ACT!! No wonder too that Haixia is a character Ding Yuxi can go on and on about. He's so well-written, and he is able to show through it his diversity in his acting, as well as his growth in acting. He just deserves much better scripts than many of what he gets, and I hope they give him more amazing roles here on out. My boy deserves it!

Just at the start of ep 20 and gosh how'd I not think about how our girl is the Master Zhu she thought saved her like yooo it's like she's unconscious during the moment! Girl can fight literally without even knowing as if she's possessed... The shock in me as I watched the scene... And now Han Mingxi is a witness to it!

Edit: Thought about this. Could she somehow have DID so an alter takes over her during dangerous situations?

Doubt it. I think Zhang Qiling is the most powerful of the Zhang family in general.
