They're really airing this while LITC is still airing? I am shocked... Did not expect they'd do this... Now I think I need to put one of my dramas on hold if I don't catch up by then 😭

Despite the flaws, I still think this drama should have a higher rating (like it didn't even reach 8.0?)... This just feels too low after having watched the whole thing, oh well. To me, it's much more enjoyable and unforgettable, and a special drama for me as well. Even now I'm missing it huhu

It's alr confirmed for Viki; you can search and find it. Also this is diff from FSM first series. Not the same crew at all. You can have some expectations. Anyways, even if you didn't, what's the difference lol... we all have our own unique tastes anyway, so either way, you will hold an opinion. Also, fun fact; many great ppl worked on this one (where many worked on other great dramas)

I didn't realize they used the Coroner's Diary sisters as Xinliu. I mean, Xunming saw a resemblance of Xinliu in Zhang Tai, and the actresses of both characters are sisters in CD 😭

I just finished ep 10 and omg everything about it was sooo good!!!! Man, am I digging this!! 😭 Also does anyone else get reminded of FoF where they also get trapped in someone's illusion / dream? Bc I can't help but do so 🫣🥹

I can see FoF having a weak script. This was like one of my very first C-dramas I watched while airing, so that helped me not get those thoughts (which I'm happy about so I got to enjoy the full ride all the way thru, a drama I was anticipating a lot and didn't disappoint for me)? Idk how to explain. But it became such a special drama for me~ I was honestly obsessed and drawn into it for some reason. The music? Oh, they have the BEST OSTs if u ask me~ Maybe the plot can be weak~ It's like demon vs human kinda thing and the baize token (felt kinda confusing) and love and sacrifices, etc. but then we got a big focus on the two main leads, their backstories, AND their relationship, which ig was enough for me. It seems to be more character-driven where every character (the first eight ones you see in the cast) each have a backstory that makes me love them~ I also love friendship so this did it for me! Maybe this is why... But I think try watching for the soulmatism btw Yuanzhou and Yichen and take away other thoughts? You may fall in love with it. Not to mention there's a 3ML that likes to get in btw them lol a love triangle btw three men hmm...

I will say smth... There is lowkey a love confession from one to the other in this as well (BUT it can be easy to miss, let's see if you catch it 🫣)~ Oh, and soulmate is mentioned too 🫠

It's way better in the second half imo! What made you drop it? I'm curious? Bromance was alr so good since first ep but then dang... it gets very strong starting from ep 15-17~ You will fall in love with their relationship, like their soulmatism is srsly insane, I don't feel this for many pairs (and I see some ppl relate to that as well)~ You will even question the romance added in the drama lol bc uhhh FL seems to enjoy watching the two at times AND it feels like she loves the SFL hehe~ Anyways, we FoF fans call this a polycule drama like no other 😂

Lmaoooo that won't pass censorship girl 😭😭 But seeing u love bromance, pls watch FoF if you haven't alr (I don't see it in your watchlist) bc the bromance there is one of the strongest out there (I'd say it's the strongest bromance of historical C-dramas where it's NOT a censored BL) and it's the same ML here 🥰 Also there is an upcoming filming drama (maybe it's only in the novel, but I hope they keep it in some way where it's not too obvious to the censors) called "Immortalis" where the SML likes the ML (in their female form) (yes, ig it's somewhat like this, idek how exactly tho) and Neo Hou is rumored as the ML (I hope it's true!)

I didn't watch him in too many dramas~ Summer Again was my first drama of his and then after was Feud, both of which he was lovely characters in, so watching Fated Hearts rn, I'm like dang... He is just so different and I have mixed feelings about him here... I miss him in these first two dramas (oh, and his real voice too which is charming haha)

Ykw... You are exactly me! Ever since ep 1, I was like, "Oh, couldn't we have also gotten to see that same fight scene with Zuo Ye as that was who he was fighting against in the drama?" I was sad... It would've been cool if they refilmed this same scene to show like a switch btw Zuo Ye and Lu Yuxiao fighting Neo Hou. It would've been more interesting for me. I've been lowkey hoping / wanting more screentime with him bc I felt it would've made this even more interesting! And bromance? Hell yeah, gimme hahaha Neo will slay it as always anyway yk! But I already don't have hope lol... It kinda sucks...

So I think in the original novel this adaptation might be the most accurate? Based on this drama, we see that they actually don't look alike. One wore someone else's face (if you recall: "I am tired of wearing your face." It seems like one is just disguising himself as the other, which I think was Wu Sanxing. It does confuse me tho. Are they working together? Didn't Xie Lianhuan hate Wu Sanxing and have a grudge on him? I bet I missed on some important info lol.
