Actually, after reading this and all your replies to Celestia, I have to say I felt exactly just like you when this was airing last year. Ngl, I still do in a way. It would have been super interesting if they actually had no couple in the drama so that it felt like we were shipping anyone together more freely, yk? I think that's one thing I liked more about the first half of the drama: no romance btw the characters whatsoever, which I remember at the time making a comment, "At this point, I don't want romance in this." And it's bc I was really enjoying the drama without any romance whatsoever. And yep... That ended up being the case... where I wasn't enjoying the romance when it began to show. I think it's bc in some way, the way they added in the romance felt imbalanced and forced? I'm not saying they don't love each other, but before that scene where they kind of both show they like each other, I legit saw no feelings btw the two of them. I think the timing was just off? Idk how to explain it. It felt all of a sudden. Even after my rewatch, I felt the same. But the good thing is I didn't feel as worse of her being a FL as I did on my first watch. But I still feel an imbalance in the relationship bc of how it was written and done. So no, you're not spoiling the mood. You have your own opinion, and some might even share the same feelings as you too. You are not alone. We can be free to discuss how we feel.

You are also right about how they would never make a BL couple happen. It's bc of censorship they wouldn't make them an official pairing. But imo, based off of what the director and writer showed us, I can happily say they are the end game. I will not spoil it for you, but I will say the very last scene is about Yuanzhou and Yichen. No one else. That's all. It's not surprising we ship these two also, bc the director likes to put BL elements in his dramas, so I think there's that. But in the drama itself, I view it more like they are soulmates, and the aftermath is they really are end game. My take. I am curious what your take will be once you finish this drama, which I am excited for you. There's gonna be so many more beautiful moments btw the male leads which will be no joke.

But anyways, idec for any romance at all in this drama. I felt it would've made the drama even more perfect than it is with all these balanced ships we can pair with no sound of mind. I am so sorry, bc just like you, the more I think about it, the worse it feels lol. Just like my sister said, I guess it's best not to think about it too much. I am also like you who didn't skip any scenes, but there are certain scenes of the lead cp that I'd be willing to skip now that I watched it already bc there are some I, ngl, feel like not rewatching. But I will say there's not a lot of romance, so I think you'll still be able to enjoy the drama thoroughly like many of us, even Yuanzhou and Yichen shippers!

Lmaooo you talked about those two omg 😅😭 Well there are rumors *rumors* that Bai Jiu was supposed to be played by someone older like maybe 18+ but they went with Lin Ziye who is very young so we don't ship them (for censorship). Idk how accurate it is tho. But I'd like to think that he wants to be seen as his best big brother but is a little jealous bc Yichen is that one big brother for him, which is pretty cute and sad, but I love how much love and care he shows towards him! These two have my heart~ One of my favorite duos 🥹💙

Cheng Xiao and Lai Weiming, the Pei siblings, are the only ones with an actual duo for their theme song which makes sense bc omg these two siblings really... 🥺 Every one of the rest sing their own OSTs. All are sooo good! I can never get enough of their songs!

There was this person on here (sadly she's deactivated rn) and me and her would literally write paragraphs to each other about the male leads, no kidding 😭😭 You gotta watch the second half bc omggg the chemistry is even greater in it! First half, they feel like they flirt a lot (like in the beginning of a relationship) but then grow even closer and have a deeper relationship in the second half! YOU WILL LOVE THEM A LOT, CRY AND GET EMOTIONAL FOR THEM, AND FALL IN LOVE WITH THEIR RELATIONSHIP!! They are so end game for me! The last scene lowkey feels like they indicate it too 🤭 And there was this one scene that literally felt like a confession! I don't wanna ruin it for you so I won't share it but at the same time there's a chance you might miss it when you watch it bc a lot of us, like me, did... Well let's see if you will! 🤭 Also, the girls are so shippable too! I really ship them! Cheng Xiao's character I swear has special feelings for her! I can't! In that "acting" scene, I can't fully comprehend what you're trying to say when you mention the "I will kill..." with Yuanzhou slapping him to reality... anyways, dang... that scene felt like really shocking in general... in the way I question, how did it even pass censorship? Like they were so close to each other too 😭

Frrr!! I mean tbh I only even got into these BL vibes after watching Word of Honor, rewatching The Untamed after, AND THEN watching THIS, which so happened to air right after I watched those, and even I picked up those cues... I swear, I was literally already feeling it in the beginning, and didn't even know there would be those vibes when it was a drama I was anticipating highly on! LIKE OMG!! I can't even explain the feeling I got as I was watching... I could NOT wait for eps, and there was even one whole week where they released only one ep a day which don't often happen, SO MY GOODNESS... the way I had to wait for each ep was such a killer which I usually don't mind for other dramas 😂😭😭

Cheng Lei's character here has officially become one of my favorite characters to date... I just can't get enough of him... ughhh what a great actor you are, Cheng Lei, to pull off your character so well here... 😩😭💙

I also love Songyi's character so much! I went into this not expecting much from her and she really impresses me! Also, she's so pretty!! Truly amazed by her beauty as I watch her! So blown away!

And pls, these two have SUCH GOOD CHEMISTRY! I don't usually care for romance but if the chemistry is so good btw the leads that I feel it, I'm over the moon for it! And this drama is one of them!! I SWEAR THEY'RE SO CUTE TOGETHER 😭😭 I even dare say it's the best chemistry Cheng Lei has with someone in a drama that I've watched!
