I love how they are not awkward with their kissing and flirting scenes. Most especially Kim Ji Eun, it was nothing to her. She's at the same level as Kim Tae Ri and Jang Na Ra.
There so few Korean actors (male and female) who can act naturally in such scenes. Often than not, you can detect they're feeling shy and awkward.
Korean dramas are unrealistic, adding body swapping and time travel only increases the number of hilarious moments.
Koreans are not the only ones who do body switch. That trope is as old as the Old Testament.
Also, why complain if it was unrealistic?
If the body swap was science fiction, it's realistic? Otherwise, not? That genre is called fantasy.
Either way, for a few centuries now, we've learned that "magic" and "fantastically elements are simply "science" and "discovered we just have not understoot yet. For example, unicorns. For centuries we assumed it's fantasy. The last few years, there are now theories that the first horses more likely had a horn because of some evolutionary thing they recently discovered.
Another fantastical creature: dragons. Since time immemorial, dragons have been part of stories.
The name of the zodiacs and the rest of the constellations, remained exactly the same since man started naming things. Could it be then that dragons were real? What are the odds that various ancient cultures around the world all have dragons in them? Some worship them, some ignores them. It's even deeply embedded in religious texts.
So, unrealistic because they didn't give a scientific explanation for the body swap?
Maybe it isn't. We just don't understand how it is possible.
Ancient texts have recorded how they were able to levitate themselves and objects. We dismissed those as fiction. Guess what? We're doing real levitation in labs today.
Zombies. We've known for quite a while now that animating a dead body is possible, and the source of the word "zombie" originated from cultures who found a way to do it. Only difference, they don't act like the fictional zombies, eating people and blood and so on.

But from the perspective of the FL, he does deserve it. He turned his back on them when they needed him most. She also grew up with a very positive view of him, through her father.
And after what they had to go through, she finally understood what her father meant by his words, and why her father did not take sides. Although, of course, as viewers, we know she is missing the king's side of the story.
Basically, the king has showed his ugly side on Day 1. He cut off everyone instead of creating his own power base. Lack of experience? Sure. But three years passed, and he still has no power base of his own. He even failed to see his baduk player is a woman; or not even wonder about it, especially in a culture where moustache is a thing. He should at least have doubts.
It goes to show that his character indeed turned into something else after he took the throne. Not because being king went way over his head, rather, again the circumstances he found himself in.
Another weird thing about him, he was taking the same medicine his brother had? He suspects someone poisoned him, and yet he isn't being careful about it. He placed too much trust on the court lady of his brother.
So, this sudden about face of his character was what the FL's father worried about; and unfortunately for him, his daughter experienced it first-hand, so she's out to take her revenge and bring him down.
Why I think there won't be a Season 3: the way S02E14 ended is the hint.
1. The 3 primary characters each found their own villages. 2. The monologue hinted that it is all about their desire. 3. FL started to see dead people because of her desire to help. 4. The father ML discovered a new village. 5. The step-father ML also discovered a new village. 6. Steve simply disappeared, and it was at his scene when the monologue started about wish, desires, and miracles. It hints that Steve's desire to hide enabled him to cross into an invisible image.
Which, unfortunately for the detective, he still cannot see, so they failed to find him. The detective just shouted in frustration.
7. Taken together, the ending of S02E14 is a set-up for an open ending. They leave the rest of the stories to the imagination of their fans.
It is the crew telling the audience that, “hey, there are a lot of missing persons in the real world, share the burden and help in whatever way you can”. Admit it or not, the majority of us ignore the missing persons, as this series have shown us.
They set out to write stories about missing persons, so the public will be aware of them. They have completed their mission in two Seasons. They strongly believe they no longer need to create a Season 3.
In fact, I agree. Creating a third season will dilute the message of the series. The third season won't have the same impact as Seasons 1 and 2. If they do it, Season 3 will just be “for entertainment purposes” and turn the entire series into “nothing but fiction to entertain people and make some money”.
This is it. As much as I want to see a Season 3, even a Season 4, it is not advisable.
The series is about the missing persons and the people left behind wondering what happened to their loved ones. It is about waking up the audience to the reality of missing persons, instead of pretending that they don't exist just because it hasn't happened to them.
It ended beautifully. It was very touching. And it is alarming.

The smile, at least for me, was a mischievous smile.

Also, the ML admitted he only said he wants her soul because she fired him. He practically said that was not who he is.
Thus, when he acted all shy, it truly fits him being in the FL's body, making is very funny.
So episode 8 will come out later tonight, KST, when it hits 00:00 Thursday.

And the director didn't overdo the focus on the lips. There is a story behind the kiss, instead of it just a kissing scene for the sake of kissing.
