Agreed. Taishin resonated with me too, and I thought the actor did a great job portraying his different aspects.
Taishin's worries about others finding him annoying was really realistic for a neurodivergent who has difficulty reading other people, and it's sadly warrented given how many viewers had little patience for trying to understand him.
Hopefully this show can spread a little more knowledge about neurodiversity through curious viewers.

To me, Taishin was obviously neurodivergent, not just "a country bumpkin" or stupidly naive. Taishin exhibited many autistic traits and was a great representation of a neurodivergent mind. The screenplay doesn't point it out or discuss it though, so I can understand why this is missed by those who are unfamiliar with it.
The way Taishin follows, approaches, and interacts with Takara makes sense when viewed as Takara becoming a special interest for him (a rough definition of special interest is a long-term fascination). Taishin is candid and straightforward and divulges more than most people would in situations (not having much sense of filtering), has great confusion about dynamics between people and with romantic feelings, difficulty naming or categorizing his own feelings, has difficulty regulating emotions and crying when both sad and happy, mentally overwhelmed easily, slower thought and speech patterns, spinning thoughts, unable to discern hidden or false intentions, has special interests of birds and plants (knowing lots of names and facts about them), and his pet bird was as important as a family member.

If what you watched was around 2hrs and 53 minutes, I believe that's the whole thing (the episodes stitched together without credits or title pages). These micro dramas are often only 2-5 minutes per episode (for this show it's 2 minutes), so all together it's the length of a movie.
She's fantastic in Reborn 重生之抢个财阀做老公 from 2023 (not on MDL yet). It's a well written vertical drama (short melodrama) with a rebirth and revenge plot. It has a healthy relationship with the ML too, who is acted by Yang Huan.

That's odd, I'm not sure why it's no longer showing on this page... I'll just paste what I said here: It is common in XianXias for a soul to start as a plant originally, or for one's spirit to reform as a plant after the death of their human body. If the plant cultivates long enough, they can turn into the form of a human/immortal.
Depending on the story, this process doesn't always retain memories. In this story, they do!
It's established twice in the story by HuSui (coriander plant) and QingKui's half of the twin flower that a soul can retain it's sentience and memories as it reforms itself from a plant to a human again. HuSui remembered everything from her previous life after being killed, and in one later scene QingKui's flower responds to her sister and husband talking to her.
At the end, it's obvious both sister's souls regrow as the twin flower and still recognize their husbands (by floating into their respective hands). Also, the start of the twin's souls reforming as flowers only takes a year, which is laughably short in a story with immortals, lol. With all the magical help they're getting from their family and friends, it's easy to imagine that their shift into human form again won't take long, though that's not shown before the end credits.
I think many people, myself included, would have felt more fully satisfied getting to see some embraces between the MLs reuniting with the FLs in their human form though.

Given the details you gave, I think it's better that I avoid watching than to risk spending 70 episodes to get frustrated and give it a lower rating out of personal dissatisfaction. I can enjoy well done angst and injustice if the payoff is satisfying enough. If the characters I love repeatedly fail in their endeavors, or people don't really get the karma they deserve, or people are seperated from their loved ones, it just leaves me in a bad mood for a long time. No matter how well done a production is, I don’t need that in addition to real life, lol!

Suggestions on where to stop watching if you want to avoid all the angst at the end (even though there is a happy ending, not everyone finds it satisfying).
Ep 33 at 13:42 in (when ML waves the doors closed for his wedding night) is a great stopping point for a satisfying HE. It's easy to imagine the 2 main couples and one of the side couples (Heaven's Princess with Prince of Beast clan) living out their lives comfortably in the Beast realm. It's also a good pausing point in the main story arc so it's fairly easy to mentally brush off the fact that the mystery of the twin flower and the conflict between the Heaven and Void realms hasn't been resolved yet.
Ep 35 at 27:46 in (with the lead group in the mortal King's palace) is also a decent place to stop for a HE though it would feel more abrupt as the scene shifts quickly to the Void realm. A main conflict has been met, most of the mysteries are revealed, loyalties have been proven, only one secondary character has died since Ep 33, and there's only a slight undercurrent of foreboding for some point in the future that can still be shrugged off.
