For me the love story in Ashes Of Love really started in Ep 19 when the two leads (immortals) go through a human trial in the mortal realm. You could try skipping ahead to that or shortly before it.

Before then Jin Mi acts like a 6-8 year old (mentally, not just emotionally) and it didn't make sense to me why the two MLs started to have romantic feelings (beyond general fondness) during that stage of her development.

In the human realm Jin Mi acts like a young adult and the romance with the ML is beautiful. For me, that's what got me emotionally invested in their story and interested in watching their story to the end (though I did fast-forward a lot of the side character plots).

It might be a little confusing at first to jump that far ahead, but if you've watched the first couple of episodes I think it wouldn't be too difficult to catch on to what the immortals are doing around the main leads.

When I went to Drama-Otaku the title did appear when I searched, but under the Episodes tab it says "no items found"... could you please tell me what to click on to be able to watch it?

Yeah, I only use KissAsian as a last resort.

I could only find this streaming in the USA on KissAsian in February 2024. Ep 4-8 all had lagging subtitle issues. It would be fine for about the first 15min of every episode and then the rest would lag behind by multiple sentences.
So I recommend checking if this is going to happen in whatever platform you find it on before starting to avoid frusteration.

Edit: I ended up downloading the video and subtitle files on my computer in order to re-watch it properly. Thank you to those who helped me with that :)

Good to know I didn't miss anything worth watching after dropping this at Ep 9! I hear you on the details :) They matter when something illogical pulls a viewer out of immersion in a story that's trying to be told seriously. That was my biggest struggle when trying to enjoy I Feel You Linger In The Air.
