I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thats what I liked most about the film, the way it was shot and yes England is like that in the summer :) I liked "Captain" Margaret she was so funny & cute.

My favourite scene is near the end when Edward comes to their house and they all dont know hes single and when they find out the rest of them leave the room and wait outside, and when Margaret climbs the tree to see what they are doing and shes says hes kneeling down (proposing) i love the mom and sisters reaction they are so genuinely happy for Eleanor, I loved that.

Thats what the film title is about - the stark differences in the 2 sisters characters. One is all emotion and the other is more calm and pragmatic.

Yes you watched the one I suggested directed by Ang lee. I havent seen the BBC 2008 version.

I haven't seen Austenland I didn't hear much about it but I will watch when it comes on TV here just purely for Austen references it will be worth it for me.

Lol one more recommendation "Becoming Jane" its a loose autobiographical film of Jane Austen's real life love affair. Again I loved it :D

I totally agree with you I have seen so many versions of P&P and Colin Firth is the ONLY Mr Darcy in my eyes :D

Definitely watch S&S (the one with Kate Winslet & Emma Thompson) & let me know what you think of it its one of my favourite films, even though Emma Thompson/Hugh Grant were too old for the parts they were playing according to the book - I still loved it.

Oooh forgot to add if you like Ralph Fiennes my favourite films of his are The End of the Affair & Wuthering Heights

Oh my those are my 2 favourite period dramas both produced by the BBC. Glad to see you are enjoying them, if you liked P&P check out the other Jane Austen adaptations they are not as good as the Colin Firth P&P but still well worth a look...eg Persuasion. And film adaptations too I absolutely love Sense & Sensibility
