Q26"The End of the Year Drama Challenge is back for its fifth year! This is the 2024 edition with new and old…
I've mentioned this before, but I'll say it again. Strong Girl Namsoon. It's a 2023 drama, but I only watched it this year, so I guess it counts. I didn't even finish this one and it says a lot, because I've watched a lot of dramas, but I have only ever dropped 4 dramas.
I know there are many ships in FoF that each of us have. What’s your ship? And when/how did it started for you?…
Haven't finished the drama yet, but I agree with you. I really like what Pei Si Jing said to Wen Xiao in Episode 17 (I think). She said Wen Xiao is like a rock or a branch for the falling Zhu Yan. It shows how apparent it is to those around them that holding on to her is what's keeping him sane and grounded. It's that same episode where we're finally shown just how much pain he's actually in. Before that we're all aware of his desire to end his life, but the pain he carries is not shown outright. Wen Xiao is the first light for him after that horrible blood moon incident. Afterwards he also gained other friends and their relationship is also strong and moving, but Wen Xiao will always be that little bit more special.
I have that same question, the tree grew for 300 years but she never aged, she is human, not a demon or mountain…
Thanks for the explanation. I guess I'm a little lost, seeing as I wasn't around for those exchanges. This is definitely not the only page where fans linger. I also usually linger for a while to discuss dramas myself as I like exchanging opinions about dramas. It enhances the experience to see other people's point of view.
A lot of plot holes and illogical in the storyline indeed, but see don't expect to get a honest answer in this…
Thanks for the warning. I'm not entirely sure why this would cause anger. The fact that we're thinking about this drama obviously shows we're enjoying it. That should please the fans rather than anger them.

Her eyes didn't glow before the sun dial started glowing. You should go back and rewatch the scene. Also, when she uses the Golden Eyes, they clearly look different, because the actress has lenses in her eyes. It's not the same as reflection from golden light. From what we have seen in the drama, she can't activate her Golden Eyes without the token, regardless of whether the token is what granted her this power in the first place. Also, as far as the drama has shown, she can't activate and use any of her baize powers without the token.
It seems that baize godesses once they have activated the baize token, there life span can be very long unless…
Well, it's true they should have been grateful to both WX and ZYZ, but their sentiments aren't exactly misplaced. Humans have a prejudice against demons and they are hunted and killed even if they are harmless. Understandably, they will be weary of any human.
Moreover, the Baize Goddess is like a guard to their prison. Every time they want to visit the mortal realm, they need permission and they need to be stamped with the token so they can't use their powers or show their true appearance. Obviously, this is necessary, given that some demons are very dangerous, even without meaning to be (like Fei) or really powerful and bloodthirsty. But it's always easier to dislike rules, even if they are put in place for a reason and that dislike manifests into disliking the person enforcing those rules, because it's easy to hate a person rather than an intangible thing.

I thought I missed that so I went back to check and I don't think that's true. Her eyes did glow, but it's not the same. It was just the reflection of the light from the sun dial. Ying Lei's eyes are also shown to reflect the light and glow.
After the Baize token is broken, she's not shown to have used any of her powers not only the ones directly linked to the token's music. Logically, her having powers even without the token doesn't make sense. Especially since if that was the case, there's no need for the token in the first place. Or more precisely, the token wouldn't be as important.
Also, as far as I remember the reason no one was able to help them get out except for her before was because the sun dial was under the power of Cheng Huang. He basically controlled everything including who was allowed in and out. This time around, they were the ones in the possession and control of the sun dial, so they controlled who went in and out.

Sunny's explanation above mentions that Baize Goddesses have a longer lifespan comparable to demons, although this hasn't really been mentioned in the drama so far (I'm only on episode 25), which is why I was confused as everyone always keeps mentioning she's a mere mortal and shouldn't be meddling with the Wilderness.
A longer lifespan for the Baize Goddess does make sense, but as this is unexplained and we're unaware of the rules regarding the powers the Baize Goddess gets and what it all means, there are some confusing moments.
I still have about 9 episodes left.
