I couldn't really tell at first, if it is a one sided, or he looks up to him as his only family bec he rescued…
i know i remember that and it wasn't nice of him but i won't hold it against him too much. if we can excuse gil-chae and all the stuff she did to separate yeon-joon and eun-ae then surely we can understand him for that one lie. so far he's been staying in his lane and silently pining from the corner so he's still harmless in my books

no need to guess, it's in his character's official description on mbc's site that he is gay and is in love with jang-hyun. and just because he has one sided love doesn't mean he's a threat, at least i hope the show doesn't turn him into one
how did frank die? isn't he supposed to recover and regenerate inhumanely fast? i didn't understand what hee-soo's dad did that was actually fatal and caused his death
I made an edit to add her. Don't know if it was accepted yet
thank you, i hope it gets accepted. it's kinda ironic she's not included in the cast when she has every right to be, as if she's not worth being mentioned along the other pretty and popular actresses
how are we sure the person in the asylum in the 1st episode is a woman/ the FL? i personally was under the impression…
no it's not dumb, the opening scenes of episode 1 aren't very clear and remain mysterious with the little info we have so far. the way it was edited makes it seem like it was the same year but i wouldn't trust it too much, it could be in the mind of the white haired person who recalled the event after hearing the name. i guess we'll have to wait and see to be sure
I cried watching episode 4. I think they dragged the first 3 episodes a bit too much with the back story... given…
it's a 20-episode drama, they cut it into 2 "seasons" because that's how streaming platforms roll these days, this is only the first part i don't think it will be rushed
Its pretty Brave of including a gay character in a traditional historical drama, especially since its airi g on…
i'm nervous about the way they're gonna handle his character, i hope they do it with care. obviously this show screams tragedy for all the characters, i just need them to not be too cruel to ryang eum as a punishment for who he is. i have a slight feeling jang hyun knows and doesn't mind and cares about him regardless. i'm so curious about their backstory and hope they can show it to us
FL in ep 1 is in mental asylums means definitely ml is dead may b she is mourning there or waiting for him, if…
how are we sure the person in the asylum in the 1st episode is a woman/ the FL? i personally was under the impression it was a man, at least this is how the doctor and inspector talked about him, and there's a theory it's actually ryang eum
i wanna talk about how gil chae's dream changed a little from her previous versions. before she was excited and looking forward to a kiss, because she was carefree and had no other worries in the world. now she's in constant danger and her needs/priorities changed, what she wants now is safety, a home so in her dreams now she backhugs him and relies on him. it's a little detail but i like it
It's okay for you to have that opinion, I think there are many who agree with you. For me I really enjoyed the…
yes i agree. as i said in other comments, i kept thinking about what irritated me and i see now it's intentional to emphasise the contrast between what's really happening and how out of touch gil chae was the whole time. as a viewer i feel the urgency and stress of the situation and gil chae is still on about her silly business and i wanna pull her aside and shake her like girl this is /not/ important. now that she got her reality check things are gonna be much more balanced and btw i wanna applaud her for handling the situation like a champ, all that mischief and impulsiveness came in handy and she knew to think fast and creative when facing a problem. again i don't want them to be constantly in pain, i welcome lighter moments as a breather from the rest and i think it will be done in a less exaggerated way now which is what i like
Yes, the serious moments are what pique my interest in the drama; they just fit in so well and make sense, and…
yeah after giving it some thought, the misplaced (imo) humor might be on purpose, it's mostly related to Gil-chae and it goes to show how immature and unaware of the reality around her she is. there's a war and it's frustrating to see her still acting frivolous so the contrast of tones is intentional
I can definitely appreciate your viewpoint, although I like this mixture of brewing romance and banter between…
I don't want war and blood all the time either but it kind of feels the humor is out of place and you know what? I keep thinking about it and maybe it's intentional to show how disconnected Gil-chae from the reality of what's happening in the world and I guess that's about to change real soon and with it the mix of serious and lighter moments will be more balanced.
you're welcome! here's the full translation a friend did, if you're interested in reading more about him :
