I also am here for the seriousness but will happily take the lighthearted moments while we still have them...which…
hahah it's not like I want characters to be constantly in pain but the silly parts are too silly? And I actually think now it's intentional. War broke and Gil-chae is still in her rosy bubble worrying about the wrong things and I wanna put some sense into her. Judging from ep4 preview that reality check is coming her way so I guess the humor will be more balanced now.
I feel the same, the more serious moments are one of the reasons i wanted to watch this drama . TBF the good thing…
Yes I keep thinking about it and my irritation is probably the intended reaction, things are getting serious but reality hasn't hit certain characters (especially Gil-chae) yet and I wanna shake them up
No one Will throw Stones at you for this , many agrees with you i believe . I also prefer it when its more serious:)
I know, I said it half jokingly since nowadays it feels necessary to put such disclaimers as more and more people seem intolerant of differing opinions
I hope no one throws stones at me for my opinion but I like this show better in its serious moments. The silly parts aren't doing it for me and the last half of episode 3 is where things picked up and got the most interesting for me so in a way I'm glad we're heading further into angst land from here on out. That scene where he provoked her until she slapped him as both an advice and an exercice on what to do to defend herself in case of an invasion (also the dagger he gifter her!) made me tear up, he looks unserious but there's always a deep thought behind his actions, I like it.

I got a feeling that the young Ryang Eum has feelings for the ML, so I think that he is the person we saw on episode…
Ryang Eum is gay and in love with Jang Hyun, it is in his official character description so you are right. I also suspect he's the person in episode 1 waiting for the ML
Yes I definitely caught that, I thought he seemed protective of jang hyun, like a tiny bit possessive. I'm not…
I didn't know either, I got curious about Ryang Eum's character after the 2 episodes and that's the info I came across. I hope they flesh him out and give his character depth, he could be very interesting. I agree with you, I'm ok with anything as long as they don't turn him evil ðŸ˜
is this just a romantic drama? does it have any mystery element to it?
mystery as in crime solving? if that's your question then no, it's not that type of show. it's romance with court politics based on real historical events
Yes I definitely caught that, I thought he seemed protective of jang hyun, like a tiny bit possessive. I'm not…
If I read the characters chart right, their relationship is stated as that of "sworn brothers" so it could very well be just that but Ryang Eum's individual poster also has a tagline with possible romantic undertones, something like "you don't belong anywhere but I belong with you" and we don't know who he's talking about so yeah it could be Jang Hyun
do you guys think ryang eum might have a thing for jang hyun? i could be wrong but i felt something there also yeon jun clearly isn't immune to gil chae's charms, i hope he doesn't turn evil because of jealousy later, eun ae is a nice girl who doesn't deserve to suffer like that
Why... are all the comments so positive? I watched the 1st episode and honestly, I was more bored than ever to…
I felt the same thing with ep1, it didn't grab me and I wasn't sure I wanted to continue watching but I still gave ep2 a try and fortunately things got much better. It's about to get more serious and characters are showing more layers, I also thought it flowed more smoothly, I didn't feel bored despite it being longer than ep1
I do not think the FL really loves the SML. She is a little narcissistic who thinks the best bachelor in town…
I understabd what you're saying but think of the historical context, what could a woman in Joseon in a rather remote village/community, living a spoiled and sheltered life could be realistically dreaming of achieving? Her character makes total sense here and now that it seems like she's about to experience harder and tougher times, her personality will evolve and her view of the world will change. It would be boring if things stayed exactly the same throughout the entire show but clearly it's not the case here
also yeon jun clearly isn't immune to gil chae's charms, i hope he doesn't turn evil because of jealousy later, eun ae is a nice girl who doesn't deserve to suffer like that
