the villains here are kinda cartoonish, every one of their plans is singlehandedly thwarted by dong-ju. even when he was at a disadvantage with the amnesia, he still outsmarted them. i don't find them scary but rather pathetic
this got 1000 times better the moment sua found out the truth and became actively involved in the mission, thank God!! now we can relax and just enjoy the ride
I haven't seen the drama but from the storyline I can deduce that my girl has no actual substance....or maybe…
the show is hinting at a childhood connection, he reminds her of her first love from when she was 8 or something (we're going to prentend to be surprised when it turns out it's him) but the fact still is now she thinks he's a teenaged student and she has these moments where she's blushing and her heart is beating faster implying attraction and it's not funny imo

it's kinda disappointing, i hope she can be more involved in the remaining episodes. to be fair, she met him first as an adult before he started his mission but still, it feels weird now that she thinks he's a highschooler. idk why they chose to go about it like this when the other scenario (him being the one to fall for her) is possible and much better
it upsets me to say this but the teacher seems irrelevant to the main plot, at least up to ep4 and i hope things will change. it's also clear hae-seong has no real interest in her beyond, well, her being a teacher in the school. the writers literally have to pull the silly trick at the end of ep4 to provoke something that's not there at all on his side. i think it wouldn't have hurt to have him maybe like her first instead of this awkward situation everyone is in... this being said, everything else is good, it's funny and entertaining and even a little intriguing with the school mystery.
I will give the FL some grace in that she did plan to go with him in the end but really if she was going to turn…
i guess she wanted to have both the money and dongju like her grandfather said but life doesn't work like that. at some point she needs to make a choice
True I was surprised BUT it doesn't mean that SHE knows that THEY know. ^^ If SHE doesn't know that THEY know…
yes i agree, she's been doing it for so long it's like a second nature to her and i do enjoy that. i mean, my personal preference aside, the drama is still enjoyable and objectively my biggest worry rn is how they're gonna keep up the pace because with 16 ep there's a risk of dragging things out

that could be interesting too, i guess. but, for me at least, part of the fun in crossdressing is when male characters start to fall in love and how they navigate those complicated feelings, it gives these characters depth too but by revealing the identity so early, the show takes all that away
They should just have made the story around the character of Song Seo In/Cheon Seung Hwi, it would have been much…
i'm genuinely enjoying the show but i get where you're coming from. for me this is like a mix sageuk x makjang so i'm not taking anything too seriously. this is no 6 flying dragons in terms of intricate storytelling or complex layered characters but it has a certain charm if you adjust your expectations. i agree with you about cyw, he's not given much to work with despite playing two characters
i was rooting for yungyeom until he left and i wish the show would bring his character back after they give us a good explanation as to why he never bothered to come back because ngl that's lowkey pissing me off. he's not even hiding somewhere to protect and care for the rescued kids (whatever happened to them btw?!) as i thought but in a whole different country doing who knows what
What happened to Lady OK’s grandma when she got married? How did all their slaves end up in the enemy’s house?
i also find it odd that the grandma and her often mentioned brother never showed up despite everything that happened to her during years! my understanding is they are in hanyang, nothing happened to them as they were not directly involved, it was the magistrate's family who had its assets confiscated. the servants we see are only the ones who went with lady ok when she got married and became under the magistrate's care i guess
