Yes agree somehow the pacing changed these last 2 episodes... Some unclosed or something just not right. But surely they know Abt the rules why did the editing and post production not take into account these things until last min... Sighi want my extra bits at the end!!!
From this show I can see that Lin Geng Xin is a great actor, so why doesn't he has any upcoming dramas?
I think he said it before when fans asked him to get into a drama that unless the script was a good one, he didn't want to film for the sake of filming. It must be good or it must have good co stars that he wants to act with.

Actually I think Yu Zheng would have never given her up. He has always been supportive of her. But she just needed the right role to shine again, She tried various roles and some more successful than others but thats what an actress does. I am so sorry to find that C drama land is so critical of all their actors and actresses, the minute they do not have a hit then they must be bad, or poor acting etc. I also hate them comparing them all the time. Just enjoy the drama and their roles in their own. SIGH... but almost ALL the fandoms compare roll eyes....
Jin Yan mentioned some years ago that there is a lull period where they didnt have much resources and it was very hard for all the actors and they couldnt film or didnt have good scripts so maybe its very very competitive for them. SIGH

It depends on whether they do the extra bits of the novel. The novel ends rather like the usual C dramas where he just shows up and they meet. But the extras are where all the action happens.. marriage and a child that they both spoil.

Oh i liked royal feast. It was nice and she was also good in it. But i didnt like the costumes I found them "heavy" for her tiny frame... But of course I think not every drama is Yanxi Palace popular for sure!

Yes but undeniably he can product hits. And his controversies just help his dramas and dramatic effect. And every so often we get a gem of a drama so have to give it to him.

perhaps we are not looking at the same space... so far what i have read is a lot of positive commentary and comments... and I didnt see any psycho fans here either.... everyone seems to be just enjoying the drama... and talking abt the drama.
Actually I am quite amazed by the pacing because they took out all the characters in one episode... The novel took a lot longer for these few characters.. so maybe we can hope for the extra novel bits as well.. I dont want a rushed ending....

Agree with you. WJY didnt do well for her other dramas.. so the expectations were not there. I dont think its hardcare fans of ZLY (a lot of people pretend to be her fans are are not) and her drama was already aired. I did read about some fans of other drama commenting but I shall not raise it because I dont want to start fan wars. I personally think we should focus on the dramas themselves and not compare dramas or actresses or actors.
Yu Zheng has his critics and his fans and honestly he can deliver if the script, editing and acting holds up. He knows how to make hits. Just not everything is a hit. So am glad to enjoy this one and happy for the actors too.. Sometimes working hard doesnt always pay off (aka Gong Jun in the other drama)
