idk why people are so unsure about the ending because from the first place this was a IP adaptation and the original story is quite long so it should be pretty clear for those watching that "season 1" means we wont be getting a smooth ending, you can't expect them to cover such a long ass story in just 38 episodes, that would be a ridiculously rushed drama. season 1 is more like an introduction to the characters, their motives, goals and etc to let us anticipate how and what they're going to do to get through, the real story hasn't even started this was like a trailer into the real thing, idk how many seasons they've planned but we're going to be seeing his path to revenge for his mother and how he'll take over northern liang and the struggle with the court and we've yet to explore so many major characters like white fox's, chen zhibao and the battle with beimang, how he's going to get together with Jiang ni there's going to be so many plot twists, so we just have to patiently, take a deep breath and just enjoy what we've been given for now !
ok there are a few things i need to address idc about others, its frustrating to see people whining so gotta let it out ! first of all to those who are saying the female lead is annoying, i don't understand like wdyem?? she is a strong, decisive and a very much likeable chara, a little bit on the reckless side but tbh that just adds more charm to her character, i like that she doesn't give a shit about any of the fuckery going on and always stands her ground also she does not try to make herself out to be a saint but rather aways follow the most logical line of thinking to actually SURVIVE in that hellhole which is ACCEPTABLE as she is only a HUMAN. Secondly yes the other characters are annoying as fuck, i also am unable to understand how the fricking hell cant they act reasonable??? but after some thinking i was able to realize that its because I'm also unable to follow their line of thinking and compared to us WATCHERS the characters dont actually know the overall situation, there was v litte info about the virus at the time and for them it all started with getting locked inside the apartment so at first it seemed unreasonable to them, they panicked and started acting out which is normal, its quite realistic in depicting human nature as selfish and not wanting to understand the resons behind, thats how people are ! ofcourse that doesn't mean there are not any weirdos among them tho like that murderer and the internet vlogger guy, the way they act like that is simply bcs they ARE that selfish of a person. lastly some people seems to be saying that the slow burn romance is annoying or there shouldn't be any romance, its just two friends who genuinely cares about each other, let me clarify, yi hyun has always had romantic feelings for sae bom ever since their fateful encounter and its pretty obvious idk why people can't see that, on the other hand sae bom is the one who sees yi hyun as a friend so i dunno about the ending but its quite likely that her feelings too will change but we never know so saying that their feelings shouldn't evolve into LOVE is kind of a bummer y'know :(
