Here you become a victim of your own prejudices, why should it be feminine to serve water or give out food? They…
I apologise for getting defensive. It's just I felt like being lectured and that my point of view was the result of my wrong way of thinking- like you were saying "this is a YOU problem"
FIrst of all it's perfectly fine if you don't see it the way I do. I also acknowledge that this all might be just a coincidence with the roles they were handling during the let's call it outing. My point is that whether we want it or not everything in the world is somewhat coded. Of course we do know that roles in terms of vocation can be genderless. But that doesn't mean we don't automatically associate certain acts and roles with certain types. Coming back to the coding. Manual labour is very masculin coded. Also as for this outing it is the active part of the things they want to achieve. I don't deminish the role Ing and Ai played during this. However their part is portrayed more in a supportive way. Also something like providing food is more often then not feminine coded. It's the nurturing mother's love.
Honestly if you don't see that at all that's amazing. And also I don't say that this was intentionally done by the writers. Sometimes it is just a subliminal thing that we are not even aware of. Just as you said that this is my prejudice.
There's one thing in episode 7 that really annoyed me...
You know if you look back at the origins of BL you see certain characteristica. Basically the couples are devided in Seme (Top) and Uke (Bottom). The Seme is more masculine and Uke more feminine. This is partially based on the fact that BL/Yaoi was written mostly by and for Females.
That being said....The fact that even today in a "modern" BL part of the group is doing manual labour and the other two are just there to give refreshments and tissues is really antiquated. What a way to play out tropes that seem outdated.
also...unless he comes clean by himself, everything he does for FL is worthless. FAKE ASS BITCH! From my perspective everything he does is just pretending to care because he was the one who destroyed her.
SML has the fucking audacity after he destroyed FL and forced her to give up her own label, to be like "I wann help you" FFS get off my screen. You wanna be cutthroat then be cutthroat and don't pretend as if you have any conscience. You didn't help her once. All you said was "If she can't figure this out on her own she is not worth it" everytime you saw her having problems. FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE
I'm sorry I just started...but how tf can the ML be this tone deaf? You are literally using your power and position…
couple episodes later....ML is still awful. He might be the worst communicator since My Personal Weatherman. I don't know how anyone could endure this kind of treatment. Girl run!!!
The worst thing is probably that he thinks he is doing something....Some people are just delusional
I'm sorry I just started...but how tf can the ML be this tone deaf? You are literally using your power and position to force FL to do whatever you want. And when she is rightfully expressing her contempt about all of this, you act like she did you wrong. Sir, you are not in a relationship whatsoever. You are her employer. There is no EQ to be found with this one
Really random....I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, because this is just an observation and I don't mean this in a judgemental way whatsoever...every now and then I find myself thinking "ML has really large hands"
I just watched the separation after FL found out about the planned stolen custody.
This is mainly a post because of all the Viki comments condemning the FL for leaving. Let's face it she was in an impossible situation. That feeling of betrayal and questioning all of ML prior actions is unimaginable. Did she do the right thing? probably not. Was there a right thing anyways? No. I agree that she acted selfishly. For the first time she acted selfish.
I don't approve of her decision to leave. However I understand her.
Honestly I don't know how I would have reacted in that situation. I must have been overwhelming in all aspects
